Newest build of The Conduit looks on par with Halo 3 graphically

Halo 3's graphics look pretty last gen so I disagree. They used the same engine from Halo 2 and made it HD.

I wouldn't go that far. It's definitely one of the best looking Wii games, but I don't think it's looks on par with Halo 3 yet.

I wouldn't go that far. It's definitely one of the best looking Wii games, but I don't think it's looks on par with Halo 3 yet.

I'm not convinced. This site by at large is biased in favor of the HD console and there are far more 360 owners here than Wii owners, and there are far more Halo 3 fanboys here than Conduit fanboys. Thus your responses are proportionate to what you are partial to.

To me they look pretty close. Maybe I'd say Halo 3 has slightly tighter resolution and a more cartoony look, while the Conduit is going more for realism. I don't think either one of them are world beaters asfar as graphics are concerned.

This pretty much sums it up.Maybe (and this is already pushing it,looking at what the Conduit offers,or doesn't offer,depending on how you look at it) one could state that the art styIe is superior,maybe,but technically speaking?Not even close.

The thread title had my hopes up for the idea of this game looking good, but then the trailers re-confirmed the fact that this will be garbage to me...

It looks very good for a Wii game, but lets get real here...it doesn't touch Halo 3.

Does it have up to 2048x2048 normal mapped textures? Nope

Does it have the GI rendered HDR lighting system Halo has? Nope

Does it have the geometry that Halo has? Nope

Draw Distance? Nope

Resolution - Nope

Come on man...

I think it's safe to say,

FAIL!

If it's a game that your looking forward to on the Wii, that's fine. But please understand the limitations of the system and come to terms with it.

I'm the biggest Conduit fanboy around and even I'm not so delusional as to think The Conduit even comes close to Halo 3.
