Meh... I wish developers with this much technical talent would do more than just another brainless shooter.
lol nice try but no everything shown was game play every journalist claimed it even the developers said it no more bull everything shown is actual gameplay. If you saw killzone 2 on a calibrated tv you wouldn't belive it and would claim bullshots.target render Bullshots.

The gaming engine might have more capabilities than KZ lets us know. Also why would you make the co-relation between engine and art style is beyond me. If that were the case then we can use the most horrible looking unreal engine game and say that the art style of that game is the same as gears'.
Please never make a statement like Engine=art style if you're not joking or being sarcastic; it's ignorant and you're basically ignoring the works of designers that made the models and setting.
One of the best sigs on this forum, you have.Meh... I wish developers with this much technical talent would do more than just another brainless shooter.

Looking foward to this sad that not many people play Killzone 2 multiplayer it was a fun experience I had and so varied and great.Solid_Max13This is true, I found like 8 servers with nearly 32 players on each of them the other day, what is that all about?
I hope it keeps the bots too.

Yeah, like another brainless RPG, or another brainless Platformer, or another brainless [please insert popular game genre here].
Didn't know a game had to be witty and puzzle-induced to be fun
Looks like a more refined KZ2 (better post processing) with bigger levels and more things going on ...... awesome. Those shots don't seem like target renders because notice the 7th pic with Sev on the turret ....... look at his hip pouch ...... notice the pouch clipping with his hip.

Nonstop-MadnessNo those aren't bullshots. It's obvious that they are not. This game really does look amazing. I can see a graphical upgrade from KZ2, though the art style is still the same.

look at helghast and period stalanism and ww2 germany its not sooo brainless its just using it in a what you could say a more neo classical style in a way.Its using history and merging it with sci fi to make it more oppresive feeling.
I should know one ofmy 3 career aims is to be an architect if i dont get in the RAF or my band doesnt kick off.
I must question people that criticize KZ's art style.SparkyProtocol
Same. It's like people fell asleep during art class, and define "Art Style" by how many flashing/colorful lights can fill the screen. Killzone has amazing art style, in my opinion.
The Mona Lisa has nothing but dark hues of color in it, doesn't mean it's not art.

all i can say is thank god im not alone on the feel of artstyles, seriously what does everyone expect KZ to have rainbows and unicorns? xD
its a boatThey look very nice, but the lelvel looks a little like a train but on a snowy field or something. I really hope that ts way better than KZ2

You're right, you could use a Unreal 3.0 Engine and say it's the same as Gears. Both Gears and Killzone have terrible art styles. I don't know about you guys, but I've seen enough dark, gritty, and depressing games this generation. Examples of versatile graphics engines would be Frost Bite, Source, or even the Euphoria engine (along with the tweaks Rockstar have made). Please Log In to post.
