Nintendo 3D-S to be much more powerful then wii and closer to xbox360 and ps3

If that above statement is true this maybe a quatum leap in handheld gaming. Look at the iphone and technology behind that so I could say with more space you could make something to that effect. Rumor or BS?

Nintendo has not revealed any specs for the 3DS system, but expect it to well surpass the Nintendo DS in visual and processor capabilities. To provide stereoscopic 3D effects the system must have the ability to render each game field twice, one for each of the player's eyes, a technique that will require significant horsepower to produce.

It is no way nintendo is going to make a handheld that powerful. But if they do I want in badly. E3 needs to get here now.

I remember people saying much the same about the wii on the specs front. I doubt the 3DS will be particularly powerful. The cost would be prohibitive for the consumer.

If they can pull this off count me in :P.

i wouldn't be all that surprized if this were actually possible, but the price for just one unit would likely be in the $1000's, and Nintendo would loose alot of money on the product...actually, i bet they'd bankrupt if they actually did produce something like this

I know Nintendo is breathing money but I highly doubt that the Wiis profits went into making a handheld superior to it.

Sounds like a crock of lies to me. And even if it were true, since when did the DS use its capabilities to its fullest? The thing could do N64 graphics and the best graphics on it are from it's launching game, SM64.

I care more about comfort in my hands, battery life, and games. If this thing ends up not having a ton of turn based strategy and 2d games (which the ds does), then I probably won't pick it up.

Just because a game is 3d doesn't mean it has better graphics. There are a ton of 2d games that look awesome on the ds.

well, the original tegra board is supposedly quite a bit more powerful than the iphone and original Xbox. So, the tegra 2 thats probably going to be in the 3ds will (probably) be more powerful still. wolverine4262

But was less powerful than the Xbox. I can't remember the last time they where the most powerful. Maybe SNES, but I don't know.
