[QUOTE="nintendofreak_2"][QUOTE="yoshi-lnex"]How does it encourage cheating?yoshi-lnexPeople want to be on top, so they cheat. Case and point: Metroid Prime Hunters. What were they doing in hunters?Havent played the game for a long time....I want to know about that too:)
Nintendo already stated that there is more options comming. The game is over a month away from release here in the states. Fission mailed.Ichiroisawsome3 months actually. And on-topic, do you really think they showed everything aout the online mode in the post announcing it? The rest of the game is likely finished, this is what they're working on now. But of course, you don't want to hear that, it gives you "ammo" in your weird crusade against the game that has nothing to do with the actual game of course but just hoping to get one over the sheep on this forum. Isn't that a sad reason to bash a game?
[QUOTE="luigigreen"][QUOTE="Raider47"]I'm pretty sure No More Heroes is Nintendo, someone quote me if i'm wrong. They've also said their working on new IP's, but aren't divulging any information. I'm pretty sure someone can give you a link. The point is, is that Nintendo is bringing old and new. So just saying that the 360 and PS3 have all the original titles is being a fanboy.no u dont make stupid posts.......u combined ps3 titles and xbox titles AND name me some new games that nintendo is comming out with u know like games that arnt franchses.
Raider47
the point that u cnt accept the fact that nintendos console is pritty much last generation quality is being a fanboy.
Honestly, I do admire the Virtual Console capabilities (that's my favorite thing about the system thus far). And the Wii does pick up news and weather. And I don't think I'm very much of a fanboy myself, thanks for asking.
This thread is full of more damage control then Sega not adding Online Play to the PS3 Version of VF5. Bottom line is this. For so long how many times did people bash SSBM for not having online? For not having a Wifi logo on the box? For it not being confirmed? For assuming that it wouldn't be online because its on Wii? It went on for a long time. Even to the point where when somoene mentioned Smash haters would be like "Too bad it won't have online."
But now it has online and ooops guess what? People are still hating on the game but now they hate for it getting the one feature that they thought it lacked. Online Play. Talk about pathetic and ironic. You guys should really look at yourselves. Sure the online mode as of now isn't great and it prolly won't compete with XBL or anything but that. But you guys got what you feared wouldn't be in the game. An online mode. Likewise Nintendo also stated that they will reveal more info on different modes at a later date. Um maybe they are going to reveal Rankings, Leader Boards ect? But it wouldn't matter anyways cause you haters would still hate on it in some form or another.

Agreed 100%
It has what I want, i'll be enjoying the online mode myself, while the haters will continue to bash, regardless.

Me too...I was doubting this game could get online...but now that it has it I think is amazing! It is rather bad news, yes. And I would imagine those aren't the only two icons, but the beginnings in selecting how you will play online. Not to mention that not everything has been revealed yet.
I really don't care about online. I don't have it, and if I did I still wouldn't. Super Smash Bros. to me has always been about the four-player component with your friends all in one room. Nothing beats it.
[QUOTE="WuTangG"]Sheep are happy, yes keep deluding yourself that Nintendo really cares about gamers...BigB_Anderson
Keep deluding yourself that Sony and Microsoft cares about their players as well. Honestly, if Nintendo doesn't cares about their players, Microsoft and Sony are laughing at their gamers faces.
Yeah I love that line of thinking, coming from blind supporters of a company that knowingly released a console with a 1 in 3 failure rate and STILL hasn't issued a formal recall of it, AND a company that cares SO MUCH about it's user base that it uses its brand name to shoe-horn its own proprietary format into the market, all the while knowing that the retail cost of the console would suffer greatly! Great thinking there, guys, really.
****ing hypocrites...

Sylux and Trace FTL :(
I have a question.
Who bloody well cares?
Voice chat is overrated and most people who use it are retarded children and immature teenagers, I should know, a lot of people in Halo 2 and Unreal Tournament 2004 were extremely annoying.
Strikers had rankings and points, even Metroid has an achievements system of sorts that puts you in rankings online.
baby stems my friend. Nintendo is just getting started with online gaming. I'm sure they will only get better and even innovate it in due time.:)RedMarzBoy
TBh i could care less for games like brawl because before you know it people will be glitching and by ridding rank maybe people will just play for the real reason -FUN because i know on certain games on 360 people take rank to seriously and ruin the fun sometimes, so i like how they're doing this but yea i can understand people saying "i want a rank"

How about ranked fights and non-ranked fights?
It'll shut up people like the TC and people who play for FUN can play for FUN.

um dude then if you have a ranked and unranked there will be people you never get to play and with rank you find glitchers or people who are cheap to win i mean if theres no win/loss i think people would less ought to try to glitch or stuff like that because its all for fun but im not saying that a game not having ranked is great because i would like both but i think this isn't as bad as people are making it out to be.
P.s. if you ever play street fighter II hyper fighting on ranked on 360 you know what im talking about...
Why would Nintendo release there biggest Multiplayer game of the year with....
No Voice Chat (If Nintendo were smart they would release the Wii's headset with SSBB)
No Leaderboards
No Win/Loss record
Friend Codes
The Lobby looks exactly like Pokemon BR's Online mode which sucked
PSTriple4life
The lack of Voice Chat for one may be bad, but it is a good thing. There should be voice, but voice is no needed for playing Super Smash Bros. It will be like Halo 2 multiplayer, in which I just forget the chatter and have fun.
Who cares who is the leader? I don't. It leads to negative playstyle. Again, I just want to have fun.
Like I care about a win/loss record. I rather have a record of each type of kill and death. Winning and loosing in SSBB is not like winning in a FPS.
Really, there is nothing wrong with Nintendo's apparent choice for online play on SSBB, but allowing voice chat would be nice, so I can tell if my opponent is an ass or not.
Who cares? It's still online!
I don't care if I can't chat online with it. Not seeing someone's name might be weird, but it does NOT make the game any less fun. :|

SSBB is going to flop because its most important feature is Online and Nintendo dropped the ball

No Voice Chat - Agree.
No Leaderboards - Don't care.
No Win/Loss record - There is a record with matches against friends
Friend Codes - Not required, unless you add a friend

And your proof? Like I say to the peeps in World of Warcraft that want casino games in WoW, if I want to play casino games, I would not play it in WoW.
If I want trash talk, crying over fairness, sore winners, and more, I would rather post on the System Wars Forum at Gamespot.
And how can you make a leaderboard for SSBB? Who wants to play the game under standard rules all the time? I love to have some oddity, where the playing field can change, and fairness is out the window. Super Smash Bros is not a standard fighting game; it is chaos in a bottle. Again, how can you make a leaderboard that truely shows who is great and who is not in a system of pure chaos?
Online play is being able to play the game online. Reading a leaderboard or talking to your friends is not playing a game.
god i hate nintendo fanboys. all they care about is thier little **** that wouldnt even be there if little kids who want to play there spoonge bob games didnt count. oh ya, i also forgot all of the moms who think the new controller is "Kewl" my next door naeighbor bought the wii and hasnt done anything with gaming before. and yes i think its cool that non gamers are starting to realize how fun games are, but with that, comes the smug nintendo fanboys who brag about their infierior system and how its soooooo much better. just cuz its sold more doesnt mean its better.TreetarD93

... you really need a break from System Wars.
Also, just because you don't like it, doesn't mean its a bad system.
Why the **** would you need voice-chat for a fighting game especially SSBB?
When you're in a fast-paced fight, there's no time to speak!

oh good lord that would be annoying as hell, anything that requires team work definitly needs at least some form of comunication, but brawl is rediculusly fast paced and requires virtually no comunication. Except for the occassional cursing kid on the other end of the line.
