And the GBA games were (timed?) exclusive to those who bought a 3DS before the price drop.

Buuut I'll recap.

3DS: Top screen is good against a black background and is a decent size. It makes the dualscreen less distracting. Build feels similar quality to the original PSP, which is a good thing. It feels like a quality product and looks pretty nice too. The 3D effect isn't as bad as I thought it would be, but it's not terribly great. It distorts what's in the background. It also looks terrible in the low quality FMV the 3DS has to put up with, because yes, cartridges are still a bad format for games with FMV. This will probably not bode well for the Vita, which this will be even more apparent for. It's also apparent that cartridges can have lengthy load times too. Oh and Nintendo's UI is terrible to the point that it's noticable.

Revelations: Doesn't know what it wants to be. It's like they started making a classic RE game with Jill, got worried about losing the action game sales, and cut Jill's portion into episodes, with action sequences interjected in between. The classic portion is pretty good though and the attention to detail in the opening and build up are great. The interjected action episodes kind of screw up the pacing and the atmosphere ... As for the gameplay itself, it's pretty good, enemies are hard, ammo is scarce, and it has a great boss fight ending the 1st half of the game. Dodging is something that perplexes me, however. I always seem to do it when I'm not trying to ... and never am able to do it when I want to. Jill comes across as a successor to RE3 Jill in this game, which is a good thing. The adventure game element is nowhere near being as good as the original games and it's still more linear than the classics, but it's a decent effort.

Hopefully the game's great sales will encourage capcom to go a little farther in making a real horror game. Maybe even one that doesn't have to be mixed with action scenarios that screw up the pacing.

Why would they have the capability to put the GBA games out there for ambassador buyers, but not make them available to buy for those who bought the system?

As for me buying a 3DS, I decided Revelations was required playing and I didn't want to wait.

I like the feel of the analog nub but it's not sensitive enough. You have to push it all the way to the edge to run in Revelations.

Yeah. I think higher quality media (FMV/sound) and the potential to make multi disc games are more important though. :| But yes, it would probably have more loading on a disc ... maybe. Then again, it has more loading than RE4, so ...

Not at all. Flash-based storage such as carts read and write much, much faster than disc-based solutions like DVDs and UMDs. They're just more expensive to produce.

I went to visit the non-GS gufu board but I googled it, the first result was the GS one instead, logged in for old time's sake, noticed I could see boards and SolidTy sent me a PM back in January where he noticed I wasn't banned anymore. I just found out today though.

Should stay on topic though, I don't want it to happen again. :lol:

Would be cool to see something on a new 3DS Zelda, would like it to be Skyard Sword in artsty1e.

But, to get back on topic, I'm hoping for a Metroid Dread announcement. Highly unlikely as I doubt something like that would be announced now, but what the heck. From here on out, I will always call out Metroid Dread when Nintendo says they will announce ANYTHING.
