Kirby looks disappointing. Visuals too look so low res and jaggie. I prefer how the game boy advance versions looked tbh. Disappointed.

Holy crap, Rhythm Heaven Megamix and Kirby just made my day. Loved the Federation Force showing and the Kirby Amiibo implementation. Sweet stuff.

I think the 4 player co-op is fun, those types of games always are. It's definitely not Metroid though. and would be better suited for console.

I feel so bad for the team of Federation Force.

They're trying so hard to sell that game and it just doesn't look good.

true but its not like other companies dont do stuff like from time to time. Wasn't witcher 3s expansion appropriately priced? and I think Dying Light's expansion was completely free.

Also, Mario Maker's just putting in a few new tools...what can they really charge for that.

Really boring Direct. No big surprises at all, which as I've said makes sense since NX exists. I feel Ninty are saving up their big guns entirely for the NX. Or I hope they are at least....

I had no expectations and still left bitterly disappointed.

And no guys, explaining Federation Force doesn't make it better. I'll be waiting for Mother 3 at E3 as an apology.

All that waiting for kirby and pleading for us to buy that federation force garbage. At least Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 got a launch window so I got something out of these directs for once.

A Pokemon fighting game? "Pokken Tournament" or whatever it's called. Interesting. Not that I care but interesting. Wonder what this means for Super Smash Bros going forward.

That was an awesome direct. Paper Mario, Fire Emblem SMT crossover coming June, Bravely Default and Dragon Quest 7 love. I like it.

So after everyone trashed Sticker Star, Nintendo decides to make a sequel for it.

I agree, at least they admit that it was built as a DSi exclusive. Still looks ugly, seems like they have not used any of the 3DS hardware. It's just more excuses, they should have made it more of a Metroid Prime Hunters Sequel instead

I really feel Ninty as whole gets a very big pass for this on the media. Don't think people would react as well if MS or Sony tried the same move.

That is not to say they are completely wrong in doing it, clearly it has been working for them, but it's kinda douchy. Thankfully most (the vast majority from what I know) of features/games do work on the regular 3DS without issue.

This didn't have heavy hitting surprises in it, but by all means not a terrible direct.

If Zelda was only on WiiU we would've seen something by now, to me this confirms it is either NX exclusive or cross plat.

Starfox looks better and it's cool it comes bundled with the other game.

Mario Maker continues to get better

Paper Mario could not be more dead to me. I'm so pissed that after 2 unforgettable games and an ok 3rd entry, Nintendo continues to wave Paper Mario's dead body in front of me going "remember what this used to be???"

And lastly, I will continue to not buy Virtual Console (or any other Nintendo download for that matter) while the downloads are still linked to systems instead of accounts.

Prime Hunters 2 would have been way better. The graphics on federation force looks like its on DS

I'm kind of out dated here since I pretty much gave up on Nintendo. What the hell is AMIIBO??? I see that is some type of figures with their games character.. Is that all it is??

The reason the SNES VC is locked to N3DS is because SNES emulation requires a faster CPU, which the regular 3DS lacks (also the reason the 3DS as a whole lacks GBA emulation). Of all the shitty things in the Direct, SNES emulation was not one of them, it makes complete sense- accurate, commercial grade SNES emulation on regular 3DS can't be done, even homebrew has shown us this.

And please, Nintendo get anything but a pass from the media.

Not that I can say I blame the media in this case, this Direct was shit.

They did admit that Federations Force started as a DSi game, seems like they have not even upgrade the visuals.

7 yrs of development and Federation Force is the result? That isn't something that they should have even been acknowledged as it just makes FF that much more disappointing looking. Think about all the great games that were developed in half that time.

That Metroid looked so goddamn fugly, even for a 3DS game.

Metroid deserves so much better than this.

How so?

They announced release dates of games that were previously announced. Announced New games that weren't mentioned before like Paper Mario Color Splash, Azure Striker Gunvolt 2, and That Kirby Game. They even Announced localizations of Monster Hunter X and Genei_Ibun_Roku_♯FE which are now called Monster Hunter Generations and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE.

I seriously don't consider this a bad direct at all. We got exactly what was to be expected.

But for me it's not Nintendo vs other companies. It's more how I judge each company overall.

Yes, CDprojektRed always did DLC wonderfully; They gave owners of The Witcher 1&2 free upgrades to the Enhanced editions ! That's great. The Witcher 3 has a lot of free DLC along with a reasonably priced season pass > I like that.

Techland also seems to be doing great. They made DL: The Following which is a GOTY contender as far as I'm concerned and it's a whole lot of content that came with the 20 dollar season pass.

For me it's about a case by case basis. There are companies that produce DLC to trick people, that produce worthless season pass in order to get people to preorder something they don't know anything about. Then there are companies that produce good DLC, that give something free from time to time as post launch content. That don't treat you like an idiot and see their project as something throwaway because you'll buy the sequel in a year anyway.

I still think NIntendo fits that second category. Let's hope it remains that way.

I'm actually getting some amiibo tomorrow. The wolf link with midna one (comes with TLOZ: Twilight Princess HD limited edition) and the wooly yoshi one. The wooly yoshi one is the only amiibo I ever wanted really, but it was sold out for so very long.

That'll make three in total, as I already have 8-bit mario from the Mario Maker limited edition.

But do I ever plan on using them ? Meh.

I do stand by my statement though. I'm pretty confident that if a PS4 Slim or an XB1+ (I actually quite like this, even if it's just as confusing as "WiiU") came out and some cool feature (because it is a cool feature) was locked out of the previous models, the media would make a bigger problem out of it. And, to my mind, with some reason as these sort of moves always come of as douchey.

Because all those games look like shit. If the NX reveal isn't perfect Nintendo is done in the console market.

Paper Mario Colour Splash is the biggest piece of shit I've seen in recent memory.

Fire Emblem Fates (while trash looking) has a bitching special edition here where you can get all 3 games on 1 cart.....tempted to say the least

Nintendo truly does not care what their fans think. They made Sticker Star 2, exactly what people don't want.

They re-introduced Federation Force implying that Nintendo fans were stupid and didn't understand it the first time.

Had Star Fox delayed and it still has awful, muddy graphics.

Once again, no news on the one game people care about.. Zelda NX.

Trying to get people excited with Splatoon and Super Mario Maker updates that are hardly worth mentioning.

Wish you guys would actually take a stand against your beloved Nintendo and demand better instead of eating up all the crap they dish out.

Yeah- except for Monster Hunter, DQ, and SNES VC, this entire thing was a wash. And we already knew about two of those before, and while SNES VC is appreciated, it's not anything that could have saved this Direct for me.
