What's wrong with "milking?" If you have a successful franchise, you ought to keep pumping.

Lol. You fvcking whore 😂

Look. It's been a LONG time since I've agreed with FE man on anything.

But he's right. Love of god! I was one of those people who once called for "milked" franchises to die. Even some of Nintendo's ones. Hell, outside of gaming, I was one of those who asked for The Simpsons to die. SpongeBob to die even. But then, I got back into a childhood franchise I used to watch, make fun of even when the older I got in my younger teen to adult phase:

Power Rangers

And while it's currently on hold for TV right now. That series is still going on with comics (some recent ones written by former Rangers such as AJJ) and an upcoming game (Rita's Rewind). But for me, what made me return was a fighting game that crossed over with Street Fighter, even advertised with two Ranger actors (including JDF - RIP) with a live action short film (which turns out to be the best thing in regards to live-action film... sorry City Hunter '93). And not including that, I've not only re-watched MMPR, I got into other seasons I DIDN'T get into as a kid (Dino Thunder and RPM being my top two favorite seasons). Hell, it kickstarted a career of one of my favorite VAs.

You don't HAVE to be into them anymore, but if done well, and remains profitable, there's no point in killing long-running IP with so much. Just let it go. I did that with CoD after BO II. Yet too many gamers, still love enough CoD. Even MS knew it.

Neither Sony nor Nintendo are losing the hardware war, nor have a CEO as defeatist as Phil Spencer.

@Pedro: 7 years ago, you called the Switch dead on arrival, and look at it now, about to surpass the PS2 LTD sales. Yeah, of course they’re losing YoY, because it’s already 8 years old! Still a success and still doing better than Sony and MS and still have healthy business practices

69 Nintendo first party titles sold over 1 million copies on the Switch.

17 Sony first party titles sold 1 million or more on the PS4.

@Maroxad: Foolish list. While Sony has access to literally every game available, the Switch gets 1 out of 20 games released🤡

"There are 10,734 video games on PlayStation 4."

Oh, and I enjoyed #11 (Ring Fit Adventure) more than all your favorite games combined.

What you refused to mention is that 9,823 of those switch games are just old ports from generations ago. And of course you would enjoy apps like Ring Fit Aventure, you don't really play video games, only apps and ant games.

The Nintendo switch has been indie heaven.

Your excuses fall flat, the Switch has had more games than the PS4, and far more games breaking the million dollar mark. Nintendo just makes games people actually want to play.

Shovelware heaven more like. Its the best system to offload your old ass games, and hope a clueless mom buys it again for her 7 year old. And my excuses aren't excuses, its the truth. Almost everything made for the Switch is just a rehash. Its missing out on every single high hitting game released... well, since 2017. Nothing will change with the Switch 2 either.

Ah well. It was good while it lasted. End of the road for Nintendo. They will never recover from this. There is no coming back from that. I don't think going multiplat would even save them at this point. Sell off the IP to Embracer or Tencent or something...may get a few bucks I suppose.

Done. Finished. Finito. An ex business. Please place your gameboys in the bin while leaving the station because this trip has ended.

j/k :P

How you missed the intent of my comment is simply astounding.🤭

Find the comment in which I stated "the Switch was dead on arrival". Now, you can hold me to "The Switch follow up will not match the success of the Switch". Like the previous person, I am astounded that the intent of my comment went right over your head. This happens when you are too busy shilling.😂

Stop coping with your random excuses.

The Switch has around 1000 games with a metascore of 75 or above. The PS4 has about the same.

Once again, it turns out that people like quirky games. That is why Nintendo is capable of selling so many games, while Sony with their lower game output isn't capable of selling as many games as Nintendo does. Fewer games with said games being more banal = less sales.

They're not random, they were never random. I spray facts, no matter the subject.

Switch having games in the 70's is everything what's wrong with the system, its shovelware nobody cares about but those who were funneled into those games, games such as Mario Strikers. Yes, children love COLORFUL quirky games for kids, and Nintendo delivers. You clearly enjoy colorful kiddiness while i like my mature, immersive experiences.

Nothing factual about your statement.

When you look at most indie games you usually either PC exclusive, or PC/Switch, sometimes coming to PS5 and Xbox. The Nintendo audience and handheld factor have made it a really strong machine for indie games.

@FireEmblem_Man: He is making excuses to cope with the fact that Nintendo has 69 first party titles that sold 1+ million copies on the Switch.
