If I had to make a wild guess, we won't see a real sequal until next gen, but do expect a bunch of 2D 1/2 games to come out for the DS and possibly the Wii.
I remember how in a interview Miyamoto stated that the next Zelda's will be shorter in lenght and slightly less hardcore then the previous have been.

Don't do this to Zelda Miyamoto! If you know what's good for the series don't do it! The games are easy enough already with not very in depth storytelling, so don't casual-fy the best series you have!
I don't blame Nintendo for doing this, Majora's Mask was the only real hardcore Zelda game and it did not receive the recognition it deserved.
Exactly. That was my favorite in the series, and everyone I know shuns it like the plague! :(
A teaser trailer for a new Zelda game may be a possibility considering it's been almost 2 years since the last Zelda game. I highly doubt it though, for some reason I think they are going to show off a brand new Wii Play/Wii Fit type game.
