u can barely even tell real life from ingame cars
maybe when xbox1080 comes, youll be close to those graphics

Well that was bound to happen. Another GT5 damage thread.
Guess u missed the comparison between this n GT4, theres no difference except the 3D runoff burms!! lol at u TCOpticalCanine

would you rather have the "best looking" or "best playing" racing sim?

If people seriously believe GT5 looks exactly like GT4 except for that, then wow.

seriously if u have functional eyes u cant deny its the best looking racing game ever.... i saw a thread where someone posted pics of jaggies! omg who cares they didnt come close to the amount of jaggies in forza 2 which i own...that game has the most jaggies on any next gen game ive seen yet
Just before the trolls come in, he's not talking about anything but the graphics.
YAY!
NobuoMusicMaker
That's all they ever talk about, even though gameplay and content are more important. lol!! At least GT5 can be played online now. That's my only real reason to buy it. Otherwise the game will be the same as GT4 with better graphics.

It's how it plays that's more important. If it plays exactly like GT4, they it's not even worth it. PGR4 looks pretty close to GT5.
[QUOTE="legalize3"]gt5 best looking racing game period
the king is back like it or not
OhSnapitz
So how does it play? I'm dying to know..
it probably plays like the 4 previous gran turismos - very well and hugely satisfying, even without damage. once you get good at a racing game damage becomes irrelevant anyway.
i like forza but i have a soft spot for gran turismo because i grew up with it.
whether gt5 will be better than whichever forza incarnation it's up against is yet to be seen but i'm certain it will deliver all the great things gran turismo has delivered before - stunning looking cars on equally stunning looking tracks. crash damage (or lack of it)doesn't bother me in the slightest

not at all. no damage modelling = not such a massive loss when you consider the main aspect of the game is trying to avoid crashing. if you simply play forza to plough into opponents and watch bumpers fall off then you're not really playing the game as it was intended. crash damage becomes a frustrating chore after cooing at the first few collisions you experience
Hell yeah by a long shot, no Xbox 360 game will ever match to that game. I never played Forza 2 yet but I heard it's great in gameplay and the graphics are enjoyable, but yes I agree no Xbox 360 game will produce any greater detail than GT5. Congrats

ill take a sim racer which takes skills to play like GT5, over a "lets put pictures on mah car!1!11" arcade game like forza2
It is apparent you have never played Forza. There is no way that Forza is "arcadey" when compared to GT.

GT4 ReviewThe Bad
"Bumper car racing, so called because you use the artificially intelligent opponent cars as "bumpers" to scrub off speed and help position your car around tight turns, is alive and well in GT4. Heading too fast into right-hand turn one at Tokyo Route 246? Simply dive to the inside of the car in front of you, and watch in amazement as you not only make it around the curve unscathed, but also likely gain a position doing so."
Even Gamespot called GT a bumper car sim..lolol

you can do the exact same thing in forza! you only have to be slightly more delicate with it. besides, like i've said in my previous posts, if you have or develop any kind of skill by playing racing games the need for playing bumper cars with your opponents goes out of the window in favour of actually passing people and taking corners properly. the ability to play bumper cars is completely up to the player. much like choosing to use the damage and custom paintjobs in forza.
people really should play racing games to race, not to crash, play bumper cars or paint your car

Yeah it's too bad you don't "just get a scratch" after plowing into a wall at 100 mph in Forza. And last time I checked when someone plows into a wall at 100 mph they don't come out unscathed. ;)

you can also say the same for damage modelling in forza. people are going to want to see this fabled damage modelling and so are going to drive sloppily to crash and to see a bumper fall off the same way time and time again. don't get me wrong, i like forza, but i dont play racing games to damage my car. i play them to win and with that in mind i prefer the physics, handling, driving style and selection of cars & tracksof gran turismo
