Surprised to see so many debuts on the list (as in there aren't many games in there from previous months such as Forza or Uncharted) Not surprised to see Modern Warfare 2 destroying every other game on that list

Your point? It's not selling as well as it should. How does that weaken it's chance for GOTY?

It even won over MW2 at the VGAs for goodness sakes.

I´m not saying they aren't but how they affect the industry sucks. I don't want the gaming market to become like Hollywood, filled with rehashes and mediocre crap that gets hyped to hell. When a game like UC2 doesn't sell you know there's something wrong with the people you're calling "gamers".

Not really,, all it proves is that Uncharted 2 doesn't have enough appeal to be a slaes blockbuster. Nothing wrong with that. Most people I talk to who have played don't think its as hyped andd great as the reviews say. They just think it was a damn solid game. Different strokes for different folks.

Both of these games are great. More people need to buy 'em.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it took about 8 weeks just for Uncharted 2 to reach nearly 2 million in sales.

Also, I have to agree with gamecubepad on this one. It seems that about most of the 27 million PS3 owners have bought it just for the fabulous Blu-Ray player. Even most 1st/2nd/3rd party games sell a lot better on 360 than PS3.

Hmm, me a big fan of Halo ( big surprise :P ) but wow, human nature being what it is, I hope the money making Halo machine don't start taking things for granted cause this is pretty amazing news.

Hopefully? The first Uncharted sold much less when it was released and sold over 2.5 Million copies in the long run. This is a given :IAgentA-Mi6

I'm definitely not saying that Uncharted 2 doesn't deserve it's critical acclaim due to somewhat lackluster sales.

It's pretty sad actually. Naughty Dog put so much work into this game and even after winning all of those GOTY awards it can't even sell in the top twenty. :( What the hect are my fellow PS3 owners thinking? I feel the same way for Insomniac and Guerilla Games too. Especially GG considered they spent four years making KZ2's engine.

Sure, it's sad that Americans don't dig Uncharted 2, but that doesn't have anything to do with GOTY.

Gamecube had GOTY's, and it wasn't a top selling machine in it's day. GOTY is about quality gaming, not jaded gamers that point to "Hannah Montana, Wii Fit, and whatever else is popular's" sales.

It sucks that quality isn't always top on folks lists, but that's how it goes.

The other issue, is the is just NPD, not the entire world, and also hasn't Uncharted 2 sold about 2 million copies around the world so far?
