So instead of questioning the suspicious $400 million figure that includes numbers from everything other than game sales, you instead try to come up with a way for the suspicious number to make sense? Ok whatever you want to do.
Also, "somewhat of a drought"? Biggest understatement of the year!
Why would I question it? It's a publicly traded company, they can't lie about revenue reporting or the sources of the revenue. It's only suspicious if you mend hats into tinfoil for a living.
Somewhat of a drought is very accurate, the system got a lot of quality games towards the tail end of the year.
But you see, they didn't lie about revenue. That's the point. They did, however, make it so that you couldn't guess how much of those sales were actually sold copies of Halo. That's the point I'm trying to get across to you. You can sit her and calculate all you want, but at the end of the day, your numbers will never add up. It is completely unrealistic to believe Halo sold more than 4 million in 7 days and MS keeps that quiet, while Halo 3 made 3.3 million in 12 days. It's a record shattering statistic.
Also it wasn't somewhat of a drought . It was a drought, period. When a system doesn't have a worthwhile game for more than 8 or 9 months, it's a drought. An exceptional drought.
And like I said, do you actually think that controller's, Limited Edition console's, Limited Collector's Edition's and REQ packs make up over $300,000,000 of that $400,000,000? Dude come on, I don't care if the number is hidden because frankly none of us including you nor I know why it is, it could be due to simple policy changes, the point is we don't know.
But do you actually think those other things made up that $300,000,000+ void? I mean really.... Of course not, that leaves only one possible outcome and we've been through it tirelessly.
