I think what these numbers show more then anything else is this:
The Wii is not a primary home console.
Madden is a huge game, and alot of people take it seriously. They want to play this game very competitively, and they want to play it that way online. The Wii is selling like hotcakes, but from these numbers, what i see, is it's being bought mostly by people that currently own at least one other console, this gen or last. And when all these people want to get the new Madden they buy it for what they consider to be the primary system.
Lots of people still own PS2's and Xbox's, and alot of them also have Wii's. And when buying a game like Madden, they preferred to get it on the last gen system over the Wii. People that have 360 and PS3's bought the game for the newer consoles, because that is now the primary system for them.
What this means Wii may be more of a secondary console then even the Gamecube. Expect sales to taper off as the other two pick up more of the last gen owners that have not upgraded yet.
