It's ok when the 360 does it .. not ok when the Wii does it. At least the wii doesn't try to dumb down PC games.

Well it sounds like they reviewed it by PC RTS standards, which is unfair to say the least. So called gaming journalism is a joke.comeonthehoops

The fact that the game only has only 2 factions and a short single player campaign is why I think this score is valid. I mean how much replay can you get with only 2 factions? That severely limits the amount of strategies you can use.DaBrainz

How can it get 6.5 here and 8.4 from ign us. 8.2 from ign uk. 9 from ign Australia?

Why do we get these inconsistent reviews? Gamespot's still trying to prove they give the harshest reviewes, but with zero credibility under their belt they look even more of a laughing stock.

Warcraft 1 and 2 came out in 1994 and 1995,we are in 2009. Compare it to WC3 which was 2002 and lol!

Fanboy doesn't agree with GS review, fanboy questions GS's credibility.

What makes me a fanboy? The fact I own consoles from all brands?

It's no secret GS been terrible for some time now, I bet you hide under a rock and pretend everything is hunky-dory. How can they give a garbage score for a game that's got great score average across the board?

For someone like me that heavily rely on reviews, this is ridicules, how is this making me a fanboy?

Thanks! And I would assume so! After all, "hardcore gamers" are not buying the Wii because it lacks a sufficient amount of highly rated games. If they care so much about highly rated games, then they shouldn't be buying this.

Someone else said it before I had to. Maybe if HaloWars came out 15 years ago it would of scored higher too, but then it still wouldn't of been as good as WCII because of teh controls anyway.

So wait, Red Alert 3 on the xbox 360 gets a better score? And i thought Halo Wars will expand the rts genre. :Dgamedude00

One of the negative points on the game was that the Flood arn't playable at all? I don't recall Dawn of War being shunned because the Imperial Guard weren't playable. But anyway, I respect the guys opinion. I just disagree with it.Doom_HellKnight

The score doesn't bother me since I was never really interested in this game but if they talk about the covenant not being playable in the campaign then I would also like to see in the reviews for Dawn of War II and Starcraft II that other races were not playable in the campaign aswell. Halo Wars campaign is pretty much exactly like those two games with only one playable race during the campaign, if those games get the pass while Halo Wars does not, I will then start damaging controlling more :P

To the people comparing CoH to HW, just stop please. CoH is a 2006 game that is already a clasic. HW is a 2009 game that is as casual as Wii shovelware. Just stop please.

Your really missing the point...War Craft 1 and 2 came out nearly 15 years ago...back when the standards for RTS's were very differently...back than all the races tended to be very similar to one another, and thus there wasnt a lot of point to doing multiple campaigns....

It wasnt until starcraft that had 3 very distinct races that doing multiple campaigns became standard for RTS's.

I'm pretty sure the rights will transfer over to Robot... or I hope they will anyway. I don't want an AoE not made by Ensemble. :[
