Wait, I'm sort of confused. So there will be no coop for Killzone 2 when the game releases and no coop patch after? Anyway, I'm starting to see the patern with PS3 shooters, Resistance 2 didn't have coop in the single player and now Killzone 2. The developers stated that it's too difficult for them to do. :| And I assume that the graphics would drop down significantly.

I know but people were posting stuff and said that it would get a free coop patch or something after the release. So I guess the most recent article states that's not true?

I'd say it's touched up a bit for more cinematic effect as a cut scene, but it's definitely in engine. So it's not CGI.

Edit: Letme clarify that it's the character models that look in engine. Not the space scenes.

Man, i guess there were only 2 games that made me think i was looking to CGI scenes when actually, i wasn't: Crysis and Gran Turismo 5. Now i'll have to add Killzone 2 to that strict list.

i got it from EB games...it owned by gamestop...basically the Canadian version of gamestop, and yes the awesome card with the code on the back says i have to wait till feb 5 to download.

Apparently, they think KZ2 looks better than Gears 2, and they admit that Sony has "an Ace in its deck" when referring to KZ2.

A few notable quotes from the blog:

Wow. I guess there are no better compliments then the ones that comes from your fiercest enemies.

I was looking for all the killzone 2 threads and just noticed there was one stickied already.

I just got the game. It's extremely cool too. The graphics look soooo much better than Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 for the PSP.

I can't wait to take the Helghast down! :D

I wish the campaign had two parts to it. I don't wanna be an ISA loser. I wanna be a badass Helghast. Maybe they'll patch in an alternate SP campaign where you do things from a Helghast's point of view.NocturnalNoctis

Here's what KZ2 game director Mathijs de Jonge said in regards to co-op NOT being patched in:

"Currently there are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2, technically it would be quite difficult to implement it for the story mode as for example the mission sections are loaded in seamlessly – no loading screens , and that would cause issues with teleporting players. Even without co-op it's still a big game and gamers will have plenty to sink their teeth into."

Huh?? CoD4 was not an improved version of CoD3, it was a completely different engine developed at IW. What will be an improved version will be CoD6. Though your statement has no merit to it. CoD4 did do just fine without having co-op, in fact it did better than Halo 3 IMO as well as many others, probably not yours but that is to be expected from you.

What happens when Killzone 2 is released only the reviewers know. Kinda silly having a games popularity based off of one guy, but hey that is how it goes. I am hoping it gets a good score and is in the AAA range, but that is just me.
