COD4 is still one of the highest rated most enjoyable shooters of this gen, all without co-op. :)

Any first person shooter is capable of being a multiplayer game. For that matter, every game is capable of being multiplayer. According to your 'co-op is crucial' logic, every single game would need co-op to be acceptable or high-scoring games.

Unfortunately for you and both of the standards you've inadvertantly set for videogames, Crysis/CoD4 and their lack of co-op proves you wrong.

It would have been great having a co-op mode in KZ2 but as long as its sp campaign & online is amazing it should still keep us fans busy/happy...

i don't even own a ps3 but after watching the new HD trailer for killzone 2 i am sold, the explosions and the death physics are amazing (i loved the bit where the guys body comes flying head first into your character), the weapon models are just fantastic, it may not be on the same level as crysis in graphics, but this will definitely be the console game to own, better than gears 2 by any rate, and thats coming from a die hard gears fan.delta3074

I agree, am also a Geow2 fan, infact yest spent almost 2 hrs playing online on Geow2 and I have lots of fun on Horde mode, however I have a strong feeling KZ2 is gonna be a better game... its great to have both consoles since you can enjoy exclusives both have to offer...

I'm not sure if anyone posted, but PS Official Magazine UK gave the game a 9/10. Two great reviews so far, but they're from PS mags lol. Let's see if it continues :).

In an interview concerning the lack of co-op, Guerrilla Games game director Mathijs de Jonge had this to say:

"Currently there are no plans for co-op in Killzone 2, technically it would be quite difficult to implement it for the story mode as for example the mission sections are loaded in seamlessly – no loading screens , and that would cause issues with teleporting players. Even without co-op it's still a big game and gamers will have plenty to sink their teeth into."

The people downplaying Killzone 2 because of no co-op are getting really desperate now. Call of Duty 4 did good without co-op. Killzone 2 will still be awesome nonetheless. I dont get whats all the fuss with co-op. I have games that have this feature,but I never use them. I find it useless. I dont wanna go through SP with you I want an singular experience. I use MP when I feel like playing with someone. I have a question for people on this bord. Have any of you played the 1st Killzone and did you enjoy it? TBH I really had a good time with KZ1. I dont know if that makes me crazy or anything,but if it does then the heck with being sain. I admit KZ1 had tec issue,but it still was a fun experience. I enjoyed more then halo and no im not just saying that to cause some ruckus. Im just putting my thoughts out there.finalfantasy94

I had said that I would only buy another FPS for consoles if it got 9.5+, but if the MP is really outstanding, and I see it gets like a 8.5/9, dragged down by the SP, I'm seriously considering getting this. Please Pwn KZ2!

Did you see how much action the MP beta had in it for Killzone 2, explosions everywhere with gunfire in the background, teamwork used efficiently unlike most FPS where one guy is Rambo and the rest of your team are just decoys to distract the enemy.

Don't know about a 9/10 from an official PSM magazine though, even if it is the UK version.
