The conference was okay at best...

Sony or Nintendo will have a better conference.

Am I the only one who thought Halo 3 didnt look all that great?zzzaaa

I actually thought it looked pretty cool, for once. Couldn't tell what the graphics were like though, GS feed was way too blurry.

Is this E3 just a tool to sell the rest of this year or did Microsoft not show up with some brand spanking new exclusive presentation for 2008 and beyond?

Those sales charts were so rigged it wasn't even funny. Anyone else notice how when they brought up games, they spesifically said "third party games" on the charts... *Shakes head* just a sad tactic...

The 360 has an amazing fall lineup... there's no question abou that.

The conference itself was boring though, there wasn't really anything new. Halo 3's single player trailer was good, but it wasn't wow.

Those sales charts were so rigged it wasn't even funny. Anyone else notice how when they brought up games, they spesifically said "third party games" on the charts... *Shakes head* just a sad tactic...

I have to admit, it looks better in picture than that video.

I can be pretty confident saying that Microsoft isn't going to steal the show this year. There was almost nothing there that we didn't already know. However, there were a few pleasant surprises, and the Halo 3 trailer was really cool (graphics could have been better, though :P (/jk obviously)) Makes me want to get a 360 all the more.

Personally, I think that Nintendo's habit of playing their cards close to their chest might give them an awe advantage if they suddenly reveal a bunch of un-anticipated software.

Well, they have to put a positive spin on it, and they didn't actually lie about anything.

I hope they implement the controller into Halo 3. I found Halo 1 and 2 too difficult, one big easy red win button would make it soooo much better.

Well.. they appeared to like pointing out they have a good holiday line up.user_nat

They had nothing else to point out really. Most of the conference was trailers.

They focused all their attention to this years games on both PC and 360.

I wish they would have shown and talked about 2008 game line up... Since it will be 2008 when the next E3 is upon us.

It was an ok showing. Boring start and better ending.

"oh look CoD4.. yawn", "oh look Assassin's Creed... wait did that corpse just hang in mid air?", "oh look Halo... cut to commercial".

I don't think MS did as badly as everyone thinks they did. E3 07, may be the last E3 ever. Unless Sony and Nintendo can get the Zombie like bloggers, and Journalists to cheer for SOMETHING, this will be a bad year for press conferences all around... I may eat those words later, but I don't see anyone making much of an impact on the 'Elite' crowds at this conference.

No, i'm with you. The Games were OK, the extras were good (XBL announcements) to bad (omfg, teh green/orange 360). The GoW port was good news, even if it was leaked. They are still trying to make games for windows look like a good thing... But meh.

I've seen much worse, like the PS3 price announcement. That was horrible, the graphics looked crappier then before, the presenters lacked charisma, and of course, the $600 bomb. Not to mention, what was with the random interviews?

So lets sum up all pre-E3 rumors:

New SKU?-no,just a halo3 version

MGS4?-no

FFXIII?-no

New rare game?-Sort of:lol:

pricedrop-nope

halomovie,halowars-nowhere to be seen

atleast some on stage gameplay of a 360 exclusive?-no, just giving sony more stage time

and these expectations weren't even that high!

Or maybe Microsoft's showing just wasn't that great? Just because Microsoft had a poor showing doesn't mean E3 is officially over. It just means Microsoft had a poor showing.

Exactly what I expected. No real announcements, just showing off games. Sticking to their cards.

I think Sony has the best chance of blowing people away this e3, just because they are simply desperate for a better reputation and more sales, so they really gotta pull something crazy off.

Like a wild animal backed into a corner, they've gotta fight there way out of it. Nintendo maybe, but they're pretty confident already so I doubt theyc are about e3 as much.
