about the raceism screaming, why do people keep raising red flags about it? It's a Japanese game made by Japanese people, not white people. so why the red flags.

On a side note I am very eager to see how Las Plagas and the T-virus will interact when introduced to each other. How will a biological weapon that turns humans into the walking dead effect an alien life form?

I cant wait for this game to hit shelves.

For me, Type A controls with inverted Y axis and fast aim works the best. It is very similar to RE 4, which I played to death countless of times. I had no problems aiming and controlling Redfield. Gameplay is top notch for me. Practice makes perfect.

My only gripes is that Redfield is too muscular and Sheva gets in the way alot. I prefer to do the killing and not have Sheva getting killed by actions that I can not control. I just hope Sheva splits up with you so you can play alone like Ashley was not with Leon for the majority of the game.

Sheva is going to be with you in the entire game.

I don't mind though. Sheva kicks ass. I noticed that it's actually better to have the A.I control her. I was playing the RE5 demo on live yesterday and I realised that a lot of people I was playing with weren't half as good as the A.I. (as in they wasted more ammo and died more frequently)

I know they have the capacity for raceism (especially against the chinese), it's just that most of the black raceism is "the white man keeping the brother down" type of stuff. The black intrest groups never mention anything about it coming from Japan however, it's always "white against black". besides, I played the demo and I thought I saw a spaniard, or at least a really tan white guy among the group of infected.

That and one would think there would be a certain gratitude since zombies originated in African lore. It's taking the game back to where the concept originated from.

Also, has there been any confermation as to where it's happening?

And to wrap things up just imagine a Nemisis Las Plagas.... *drools*

Let me offer some thoughts unto the silly idea that Resident Evil 5 was created racist. In Africa, there's alot of Africans. I hear the sun is pretty demanding over there, causing most of the natives to inherit darker skin. Yes, there are a lot of Africans in Africa-- especially north of South Africa. So, you know, given Capcom's history of setting their more current resident evil games in exotic places-- you know, America in the first three games, an isolated island in Code Veronica, a coastal Spanish village in RE4...

They decided to hold the next game in Africa because they wanted to pick a place where the means of the virus surprisingly originated, and to uphold the tendency to get a new local theme for their sequels. As I mentioned before, Africa has alot of Africans, and you know-- many of them happen to have dark skin. I think it's be rather bizzare if There were alot of Japanese people in Africa, wouldn't you? I feel the only racists here are people who look at a game that happens to be set in Africa and immediately calls racism.

I have waited a disgustingly long time for this game and here it is, a month till release, and I have to say... Resident Evil 5 just isn't what I wanted it to be. Let me break down my disappointment:

• The whole game is in co-op... ouch. This is the first change to the RE formula that I do not agree with. How am I supposed to feel any of the tension and atmosphere if my friend is yelling over the mic?
• The merchant is gone and the upgrading system and weapon collection has been made annoying to use.
• Rarely do I ever complain about a sequel being too similar to it's predecessor... but.. RE5 is too similar in terms of gameplay. Even some of the animations are the same.
• The split screen is so awkwardly set up that I can hardly see myself even wanting to use it... and why is Sheva confined to the right side of the screen?

After asking him several times, he shown why the ps3 version looked inferior... specular map needed quite a lot of time to load on the [***] (as euro is [EUR], and US is [USA]) ps3 demo. So yeah, you were wrong

Dont moderate me for using the j.. term not towards a person, really... its getting out of hand. Maybe in english you say it JP, but i'm spanish, and the abreviations are like thar..

Then play the game without a human partner; Sheva's a great AI partner. She uses a lot of ammo sometimes, but that's a product of the SMG being a weak gun with a high fire rate.

Personally I don't understand what's wrong. The story has always been crap, but the fans don't want to see main characters ever die, why not? It would be a pointless story without loss.
