Why are people complaining about the series abandoning its roots and not been scary. We have grown up you know. I never played a Resident Evil game till Resident Evil 4 came out and from the earlier ones in the series it is the best one by far. The over the shoulder view was good. Also stop making out its not scary anymore. Would you rather have a bad but scary game or a good and not scary game.

The cut scenes the graphics and the gameplay feels fine to me.

So aside from the guy with a RE5 sig :P am I the only one who's really excited on GS?black_tempest

just saw this on kotaku. think i'm officially not getting it now. the infected can now man powerboats & chase you.... i just can't take this series serious anymore. scares are gone. now it's all about action, but action where you can't move while shooting or reloading and ammo / grenades abound in fruits.

if they can man poweboats & ride freaking dirt bikes. why the **** don't they just arm themselves with the grenade fruit and take over the world? what's next? as kotaku put it: 'By Resident Evil 6, Leon Kennedy will probably be up against a horde of Bolivian alien zombies paragliding out of the sky on rollerblades.'

great. you won't respect my opinion why should i respect yours? this thread is in SW. it's meant for all discussion of the game, negative or positive. get over it.

and you cannot call this extreme lengths. it was a quote from another website that has had criticisms of the game. people all over are complaining about these aspects of the game. it's not as if i'm just making stuff up or nitpicking on really stupid things. keep in mind i LOVE the RE series and it pains me that the game is like it is.

My hype meter has solidified to a SOLID AAA title. I absolutely enjoyed the demo, and have been playing it almost to the point that I may have poured more hours in it that in a few single-player games of short nature.Brainhunter

if the reviews end up being awesome i will obviously give it a chance. i've just read a bunch of things that really bother me about the series and totally disagree with capcoms decision to not address the controls.

and part of the criticisms that bother me are related to the story. i don't like how the infected are 'evolving'.. just doesn't make sense to me taken in context of the whole story. we'll see though, maybe it's not as bad as people are saying.
