umm you don't have to be a gold member to dl it.... i played it and i've only got a silver one right now.

The demo was great, really meaty. I played for like 45 minutes and turned it off, I didn't have to play through the whole thing to be convinced it will be great.

Agreed. The first time I played through it (as a Commando) I was kinda thinking that it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Once you really start to get into it, plumb its depths, so to speak, it gets to be great. The combat system is far more complex than it sounds; fierce attacks, air attacks, and the balance between upping your combo meter and using ruiners make it deeper than any other RPG's combat system and taking it at least to the level of depths of God of War (but not as deep as DMC or Ninja Gaiden). In addition, while the arenas offer a wonderful and more frantic pace-change. Also: RPG mechanics (loot and leveling) are deep and varied. This is, indeed, a modern day evolution of Diablo.

I'm really excited for this game, just a shame it's still 45 days away.

I still think it's funny how much my opinion changed throughout the demo.

pffff. this game blows chunks... 5.0.

There is a way to unlock the beserker and commando class in the demo. Unplug your internet, reset your console, change the date to 2009 in the settings and then boot up the demo again. They will now be selectable. Works every time enjoy. There is also a was to glitch to get the bio and defender 2, but its tricky, heres a vid

I just fired up the demo and the berserker and commando are unlcoked...

I have my internet cable out, so yeah, just unplug the cable and you get them.

I'm playing as a defender now, using that glitch:P

I have done two playthroughs as a Champion thus far, but I'd be excited to see if SK is playing on unlocking more of the c1asses in the demo as time goes on. That would make a lot of sense.subrosian

Probably one of the best I've seen in System Wars. His means of supporting his viewpoint is one the likes of which I have never even seen before!! It's amazing!

I hope this game does really well. Not only because the game looks awesome, it would free up more jobs in St.Catharines.. where i live. :) its awesome playing a really good game made in your hometown.Darkenmal

It is suspected, but not confirmed, that SK intended to release additional c1asses one at a time to the demo, perhaps with a video showcase for each one, and that for some reason the time-lock mechanism in the demo malfunctions. I haven't tested any of this, but it's possible for some people to have played all of the c1asses, even though most of us can only play as Champion right now. I'll confirm the reports when I get home, and if they're true I'll update the OP to reflect them.

I'd actually want him to list all of his issues, to be honest. I, for one, loved it and honestly can't see what would make anyone think it is "bad".

I, for one, found the combat to be relatively deep-there's a lot you can do, with ruiners, finishers, and air combat...

I'd highly recommend the Berserker and the Commando; I really enjoyed the experiences they had to offer. I did not, however, play as a Defender yet...

Prove I played the game?

Uh. Running through the progress of the demo wouldn't be enough I suppose, since I can get that anywhere. Put it this way, I didn't know how to do an air combo until pressing start, wading through the laggy interface and reading you have to press the analogue controller in a direction twice to knock someone into the air (Analogue controls are just, LOL. Unresponsive, like I said. Bad hit detection adds to that) --> Jump --> Start swinging I suppose.

Enemies are suspended in the air during all this, can keep them in the air with pistols. Juggle in a way like in DMC, except nowhere near as good.

The worst part of it all is, the animations are terrible. Like, really really bad.

No actually, the fact the combat isn't fun is the worst part.

One worry : are you shamelessly and completely promoting this game in a hype thread, subrosian?

I have gotten home and tested some of the unlock methods, and I can confirm this: it is possible *easily* to play as every c1ass in the demo. Setting the console to 2009 while offline opens the Commando, Berserker, and Champion. By positioning the cursor over a locked c1ass, then rapidly taping A as you move the cursor left or right to an unlocked c1ass, you can gain access to it.
