It's a terrible product that I won't touch with a ten foot pole and all, but...
Isn't the basing getting a little out of hand now? Hyperbole, exaggeration, gross misinformation, and with literally everybody imaginable jumping on the hate bandwagon, not just forum posters, but people beyond the traditional purview of gaming too.
On a completely serious, non trolling note, do you think the Xbox One bashing is getting just a teensy bit out of hand?

soooooo... just another day at System Wars?
Eh, it may be just a little bit since what Microsoft isn't exactly THAT new (it is similar to Steam and all). Theoretically it isn't all terrible. Of course I am very skeptical Microsoft's services wll be just as good as Steam's are, and atleast with Steam it just focuses on restricting digital games and not physical copies like the Xbone seems to be.

From 2006 to 2008 PS3 was the the resident whipping boy. Wii got apathy more than anything else.
Exaggeration and gross misinformation?
MS fanboy in disguise.
It's already been laid out a zillion times now by MS.

Ok, PS3 had a weak start, that's true. But it redeemed itself so marvelously. It deserves all the harsh things it's getting.
The more bashing, the better. It only makes the outside world more informed about it. We don't want this surveillance device to sell well.
Cyberdot
Agreed. Wasn't MS one of the first to sign the NSA's Prism program ? ;)

exactly fuk them and their loyal xboner dogs aka lemmingsI expected so much on system wars, but to see so called proper gaming sites writing stories full of misinformation is surprising. Maybe its intentional, or maybe they're just stupid :P
Either way, I'm looking forward to seeing how Microsoft will try to save themselves.
"Poor MS they only wants to **** our asses with the Xbone. They are not that bad!"
They deserve this and more, and this backlash is a great lesson to the rest of the industry. EA and Ubisoft are shitting on their pants right now after the consumer's reaction.

 I always knew lemmings thought of things this way, it's like they have developed Stockholm syndrome
No it is not getting out of hand. Social feedback is invaluable. If we stop telling them that they're messing up, they will think that they are okay.
It may be a bit over the top, but it really needs to be.
Microsoft needs to know that you cant pull shit like this. Â I would rather see people exaggerate the negativity tbh. Â It sends the message very clear.

Yes. It reminds me of the online response to the ME3 ending however unlike Bioware I'm guessing MS will ignore it and stick to their guns.
I'm set on getting the X1 over the PS4; but I can see where some people might have some issues.Â
To me, it's going to be the better product, personally.Â

Agreed. The casuals are going to flock to it unless something is said, I don't think Microsoft deserves to profit on this one.
It almost isn't even a product to start with, it's more like a service with a $500 entry fee, $60 yearly fee, and $60 nickel and diming.I'm set on getting the X1 over the PS4; but I can see where some people might have some issues.Â

lol lemz in tears begging for mercy confirmed lolololololololol KAZ FOREVER!!!!!!!!
Â
Kidding.
Â
I think maybe it is. Â There's no chance I'm buying one, most likely ever. Â I might get one as a secondary if they made a lot of policy changes, I'm not opposed to getting a system for exclusives, and I't get to keep HBO GO without keeping my XBOX, but it will never be my first purchase or main console, I'm sold on the PS4.

That is such a pessimistic view.
I for one am all for the digital distribution focus of the X1. Â My entire steam library is at the tip of my fingertips and I no longer have to scavenge around for discs like I did 5 or 6 years ago, having a similar way to store my profile on X1's cloud service is extremely attractive to me.Â
I live in the US, I am practically always connected and don't trade in game to gamestop; I am immune to most of the so called red flags from the system.Â
Again, I have no way to prove that this will be executed in a competent matter, so I am still going to wait and see, but all things constant, the X1 looks more promising to me than the PS4 which feels almost like a dull and  stagnant effort.Â
Â
the X1's  focus  would move the industry forwad, much like Steam did the the PC.  not to mention that X1 definitely had the edge at E3 in terms of exclusives, at least in my opinion.Â
I guess i'm going to stick out like a sore thumb for thinking this way, but so be it.Â
Hopefully the bashing is just getting warmed up. Microsoft needs to get kicked in the nuts and thrown out of the gaming industry A.S.A.P. I believe in healthy competition, but Microsoft is a cancer that needs to be removed. I'd rather see Sony and Nintendo, 2 companies that I respect, go at it.

Nintendo will never ever be able to go toe-to-toe with Sony again in the home console market. They will go bankrupt if they do in the home console market.
Of course. Most of the sheens are hating on it for quite a few wrong reasons, the Xbox dOne was a major scape goat for them it gave them a chance to turn the forum completely towards the current generation instead of the failure of the ps3 last generation.

It's not pessimistic, it is what it is. What ms is doing is NOT moving the industry forwarded--they are trying to change things in order to garner more control. Xbox One is not just drm. There's the saying, "you get what you pay for". Well, with MS you don't even know you'll get what you pay for. There will always be, "you get what you pay for, AS LONG AS..." In regards to Xbox One.I as usual do my own reading, research trust my 40 years of life experience and make my own decision. I will get one, not at launch I figure but I will. There will be games on it I want to play. I will buy it and the games. As you can see, I have internet, so the check in isn't a problem for me. Is it getting bashed too much? I think that's up to the individual. Do you get a warm, Im on the side of right feeling when bashing it? Then why are bashing it? is it because it is so bad, or are u just loving the feeling your getting? As you said TC, terrible product you wont buy. That's really all that need be said if you don't like it. But I bet some here, and some not self aware enough to notice, are doing it for other psychological reasons, but what do I know? It's a terrible product that I won't touch with a ten foot pole and all, but...

I hope the hate doesn't stop. This isn't even about X1 vs. PS4. It is about our rights as gamers and how we aren't going to stand for it. Every gamer should be pissed about what Microsoft is pulling, not just cows, but sheep, hermits, and lemmings should be pissed about this as well.AmazonTreeBoa
Â
I'm pissed off about this to even though some of the issues don't affect me that much, but is it right for people to tell other people that they are brainwashed and etc for liking the console or to generalize about one country.

Â
MS said there is an agreement that kinect will not spy on you, and you can customize what it will or will not do, or you can turn it off.
Â
You can use used games or trade them.Â
Â
The 24 hour check-in is meant for convenience.Â
Â
Yes, no BC sucks but it's happened on other consoles before. MS has done nothing so far to show me that "they are a cancer". They have done a huge amount to contribute towards gaming, and really care about pioneering many fields. With the X1, new things are being tried that are meant to make the experience better, but you neandrathals refuse to take a step back and calm the f*ck down, and fight them every step of the way. They could easily pull out of gaming, and it wouldn't make a dent in their profits, in fact, it would probably make them GO UP. That shows me they care about what they are doing.
Â
Narrow-minded gamers like you are the cancer that needs to be removed.
Most of the arguments surrounding XB1 is either misinformation or its blown way out of proportion. Â If you take the 24 hour check in out of the mix, the PS4 and XB1 are nearly the same. Â I have some issues with XB1, but I am at least waiting to see how MS responds to the consumer. Â We know that the used games / borrow games is debunked as its left up to the publisher. Â I am leaning toward the PS4, but if things change with XB1 I will most likely buy that instead as it is, in my view, a superior product. Â
What I think is funny is the "gamers rights!" argument. Â Seriously? Â You do realize you do not own any of the games you play... as a user, you have little or no rights to the software and are bound by the rules they set. Â
XB1 deserves some criticism, and personally, they picked the wrong fight. Â They had to of known it was a hot issue with consumers and I am actually a little surprised they went that route considering Win 8 and their enterprise products and the strides they made in that arena. Â With that said, its easy to get sucked in with the mob mentality to be against something. Â But step outside the and actually look at it objectively and do some research for yourself... they are really not restricting a whole lot. Â
