One thing for sure, PSN download speeds are horrid compared to Xbox Live's.

Yeah there is a big difference and add the install afterwards and it's even worse.

So how did you check the 360's browser?.......... :|

BioDogshock
Psn browser is horrible Just use your gosh darn pc for internet browsing. Psn imo sucks compared to xbox live its like comparing a banana and an orange everybody knows bananas suck (psn) and EVERYBODY loves oranges. 99% of people love oranges. Every person i've met loves oranges

Its fine for a Tv browser. its purpose is mainly streaming media like youtube.

I can download a 1GB game/demo in 30 minutes on both systems. Both wireless. Firmware, game and trophy updates are just crap compared to the Live equivalents.

If and I mean IF I was paying $50 a year on PSN and not getting comparable service or speeds to that of XBLive THEN I would complain.

I don't mine waiting a little bit longer for something I don't have to pay a dime for.

Just do a bandwidth test on your PS3 in the network menu. You will probably run like crap. I have a 35/35 Fios connection and I work for Verizon Fios and I test the same lan port for 35/35 everytime and then put it on the PS3 and do the bandwidth test and I get like 7mb 2mb up if im lucky, lol, and I run like it. IF I go to the brower in PSN I run 25/25 which is still 10 less than I should be running but ok, no wonder why it takes me 30 mins to download modracers and like 3 minute to download the same size file on xbox live, and its consistant. Also this bandwidth problem that I just told you about is a "known" problem and no update has yet been installed to fix or patch the problem. Some PS3's actually run at what they are supposed too, but the only way is to check yourself. Another of many reason why Xbox live is better than PSN.

ProjectNatalFan

Well soon PSN isnt gonna have those problems cuz there gonna start selling premium PSN accounts and upgrade their serverslike xbox Gold memberships

Wow, I can see why this is in the "System Wars" section :P

I have to say, my PS3 has the best internet connection in my house, above 2 other computers wireless cards (PS3 is also connected wirelessly). I do not however, have my 360 connected to the internet, I don't see the point in spending £40 a year for something I already get on my ps3. Sure, I will get faster download speeds with the 360 than on my ps3, I am almost certain of that. However, what does that matter? I have a 20GB hard drive in my 360, its not like I could download a lot anyway! I have a 320GB HDD in my PS3.

I got a $120 GB HD for my 360 for $49, so it's not that ridiculous to expand its storage. Also, I seriously wish that PSN would increase its speed for downloads. It's quite a bit slower than Xbox Live, and I'm not really sure why it's so slow, other Sony capping the bandwidth. It's the slowest device in my house. I love the games on the PS3, but it really sucks having to wait 40+ mins to play a game that I just bought because of a patch (MLB 10 the Show took forever). I can download DLC and patches on Xbox Live in less than half the time.
