At first glance I misread the thread title, thought it said, "Obama" gives audience xbox's. I'm tired.

wow, think what the reaction would be if they knew about regular controller rumble and unlimited warthog ammo, there woulda been a riot.
LOL Seriously. They're acting like they just won the lottery or their favorite team just won the Super Bowl at the last minute and they're there at the game cheering. Who the hell would act that excited over getting video games, especially middle aged women? This video just made my day... ... and at the same time made me lose even more faith in humanity. The only people I can actually believe being THAT excited over getting a free video game would be like... little kids that were born into poverty and have parents that could never afford games. A grown adult would never act like that.At least now we know where that $500 million went. $50 mil to get a spot on Oprah's Show, and the rest to pay off everyone in the audience to pretend to be that excited

wonder if any of them will sell it on ebay tonite? i bet its prolly a pre order that they can pick them up on launch day. other wise i bet they could get over 1000 bucks for each bundle.

I would imagine a very high percentage of that audience had never even heard of a "Kinect" prior to being there.
"OMG I'm so excited I get a free Kinect!!!! By the way, what the **** is a Kinect?????"

you kidding me? a woman died trying to win a nintendo wii at launch. There is nothing more dangerous than a middle aged woman trying to buy gifts for their children. I remember when i bought a wii the lady that came in the store right behind me asked if there were any wiis left (after the one i was buying) and when the clerk said yes she looked to me and said "good, i thought i was going to have to kill you for it in the parking lot" her tone was jokingly, but she had murder in her eyes.
Mothers can be ruthless when buying video games for their kids. Half those mothers were probably excited because now they dont have to cut some fools this holiday.
HAHAAHHA. i love this reaction because she is giving free video game hardware to a bunch of women who are past their 30's. at least MS is going all out for the kinect.

Still, an endorsement from Oprah will go a long way in regards to selling this to families, as gifts, etc.
yea oprah holds alot of weight.... literally. But also in terms of influence.

Those women literally can't think for themselves. They do what master tells them.Audiences in american TV shows would go crazy if a cat walked on the set though.tomarlynWhy do you say that?
Microsoft + Oprah = EVIL! I hate that lame ass woman. millerlight89She is vile. Superficial, and gullible to the point of hurting people. She is, however, the perfect business associate/marketing representative, so I salute Microsoft in their genius in exploiting human psychology/herd mentality.
You know what I would like to see? Move on Conan, I'm sure that will be the perfect burn. Showing off their stuff to a cool, non mainstream (or less so than others) comic who is beloved by everyone.
I do like how they didn't even demonstrate the product at all and just used acted advertising footage.shinrabanshou
People are laughing about Kinect on YouTube and it recently utterly failed live on a German TV show. Little surprise they stick with their faked commercials instead of taking THAT risk again. Damage from failing on German TV is harmless, but imagine the same thing happening on Oprah. Not working that well to begin with and in the middle of the game just removing one of the players for no reason (wasn't the slogan "jump in" and not "be randomly kicked out"?).
"Oh.. uhm.. yes, we're aware of this issue (now). Don't worry, we will have this fixed in a patch shortly after release (please don't make me specify "shortly")."

Because it happens all the time I watch an american show.
I could go on

yeah, im so mad that I didnt get a device that dosent have a single appealing thing for me at launch outside of a dancing game which i will probaly play for a week then shove in my closet whenever anyone comes over so they dont see it. Basicaly what I do with my Porn.
^another case of a broken sarcarsm detector =/Giancar
sorry, sarcasm dont play over the itnernet without /sarcasm at the end.
I would just sell the Kinect. Imagine how much you could get for it right now.
Da_lil_PimP
How would you use it? there are no games out andthe Dashboard isnt updated to use it yet. It would be useless to someone until it launches, and still they would need to go out and get games for it anyway unless all they want is to use the UI with it.

Let's be honest, Microsoft just wanted a bunch of women screaming about getting a Kinect for free on camera. Everything else is a technicality. But, yes, as I think any honest person could recognize, the Kinect launch lineup is atrocious. Not a single real game in the entire bunch.[QUOTE="Da_lil_PimP"]

I totally forgot about everything you said :P I'm sure somewhere out there somebody knows nothing about it and is willing to pay big bucks for it now.[QUOTE="lundy86_4"][QUOTE="_Cadbury_"]LOL I seriously hope people aren't using this as a measure of how popular Kinect will beChutebox

Those women literally can't think for themselves. They do what master tells them.Well, the mob mentality has been linked to economic behaviour in the past with things such as emulation. People just wish to blondly follow anything stated by Oprah :P

They act crazy!!! I have a feeling kinect will be huge despite my negative attitudes towards motion gaming. Hmm, good news for MS tho.
Oprah's audience getting stuff for free and they go crazy? Who would have thought. 500mil well spent. Please Log In to post.
