Ouch, Polygon lowers MCC review score to an 8

I've obviously had problems with the MCC since launch but single player kept me busy. I have since played a lot of multiplayer games in the ranked playlist and I've been finding games very fast and consistently in the last 24 hours. This game is a flat out 10 and I will be playing it for years to come.

Didn't think anyone cared about Halo anymore, it was always an over rated, over hyped series to me, so does the score drop really matter at this point?

Gamespot lowered the score to "Who gives a ****?"

Literally, the 'Review in Progress' link at the top of the home page was moved days ago. Halo fanboys are having a mixed reaction to it due to the online issues and various other little nags and bugs. Everyone and their pet dog knows this CoD did particularly well this year..

Halo is like.. Not really that big a deal anymore. It just isn't. I'm not suggesting it is nonexistant or not selling XBones. It's just that, in this case, what you get is a known entity. A massively conservative play to cash in on nostalgia in a year where the new XBox is getting panned.

Polygon's original score (9.5/10) is probably going to stay up at Metacritic, which helps Halo MCC retain the 88/100 metascore.

I checked earlier and now, and it's still up. Deja Vu.

@SolidTy: Metacritic only takes the first score. This isn't the first time a review outlet changed their review.

Correct. I didn't post to the contrary. Just because I know that, and you know that, doesn't mean everyone knows. I'm posting for those that don't know, not for those that already know, like many of my posts. Unfortunately, while this has happened before, not everyone here has witnessed what I've witnessed, as demonstrated by select posters in this thread.

That's why I put "Deja Vu" in my post, because this situation has happened and been discussed before in SW, including myself. It's all familiar. I just tried to keep it short, but I guess it was too short.

ehh, I don't think its right judging a game with an unexpected glitch. and the fact that they judged it before playing the entire game, and then judging it when a major portion is unplayable, loses all of their credibility.

It is still better than anything on PS$, Wii U, or PC atleast for this year.
