And MS locks out your real life disc game, you don't really own Halo or Gears or COD or any of your other games, you just own a portion and MS owns the rest, and you pay them so you can "borrow" your game from them for a year.

I'm rocking Silver at this moment, and I can still play every 360 game I own. The fundamental difference between games/content you buy while subrscribed to Gold and while subscribed to Plus is that you still have access to every game if you no longer pay for Gold, the same cannot be said for Plus.

And I do think you understand this, you just feel you need to keep up with the façade.
You are unlocked out of the multi-player portion of the game, which is HALF the game. You PAID full price for a game, and so should be giving the FULL amount of content, right? And pleasw answer that as a gamer and not as a deluded M$ representative. BUT when you buy a 360 game, you only get half the game, but its for the FULL price. So 360 games are full price for half the game. You can only unlock the other half the game by paying ANOTHER 60$ which is a yearly cost, and adds up significantly over time. So in.summary, just in order to get half the game you originally paid for, you have to pay the XBL fee. In that way, XBL is basically extortion. M$ is extorting its dumb fanboys, and they just accept it, and will even have the audacity to defend their corporate raping at the hands of M$ over the internet. Its lemming insanity I got a 360 first this gen before I got my PS3, and I always felt like I wasn't getting the full experience of my games becuase I didn't have XBL. I couldn't get all the achievements, I couldn't do all the content. Halo 3 and COD and Gears, all high scoring games, felt like a waste of money to me because I couldn't play the full experience of them. They didn't offer enough value to warrent a purchase just for the SP, it was only about the MP.
I felt left out too, my friends could play online and fully have access to their games on PS3 and XBL Gold, but not me. They could play with their friends, download DLC and updates that fixed bugs, get all the achievements, basically get the full experience out of their games. Unlike me because I didn't pay for XBL and didn't have the over priced WIFI adapter either.
I could buy Live now that I'm an adult and have a job, but it isn't worth it. I have played on XBL plenty of times, I am familar with the service and it's features. Only advantages I see is faster updates and cross game chat, other then that there is no difference between them. And to anyone with a brain they know FREE is better then Cross Game Chat (the fast updates are free for everyone, so that isn't what your paying for with a Gold subscription.)
XBL is a rip off, plain and simple. Plus is the much better value and deal. Only an idiot would argue otherwise. All your paying for anway with a Gold sub is online play (free everywhere else) and cross game chat, (free on PC and Vita) oh and access to pay for Netflix again (only have to pay once on other consoles).
That's it. Everything else is free to silver members.
