You have to subscribe to PSN+, and you lose acccess to them once your sub runs out. So the TC's point about "paying to play online" is a touch odd.

Plus this can be done on live as well, so I don't understand how we are getting "owned":

If your PSN+ subscription runs out, the games are no longer are accessible to you until you resubscribe. Therefore PSN+ is a rental service. You never own any of these "free" games, you only pay to rent them.

Yup thats right and XBL is paying for the online parts to your games which you lose access to when your subscription runs out. Basically getting ripped off by Microsoft.
