That comment right there is complete garbage. The graphics aren't good enough to justify a $400 card, they aren't that much of a difference and you know it.

Nothing justifies spending that much more money on hardware for better graphics. Its the PC games that count, but I tend to shy away from spending all my hard-earned money just to play the latest PC games. What makes it worse, im playing myPC gameson a laptop with Windows Vista. There are soooo many games of mine I can no longer run, and I think Vista may be the reasonwhy.

As much as I enjoy PC games, in many cases they just arent worth the hassle for 80% of gamers.

It's just as funny as all the console kiddies screaming about how expensive pc gaming is. Yet if you want to experience all that console gaming has to offer, you'll be spending about a thousand dollars. Plus another grand for a HDTV. Plus extra controllers etc etc

yeah and bioshock crashes on my pc (thank god I didnt buy it) and :lol: I bought an alienware m550i it is a laptop not a desktop,(and alien ware had a sale) my desktop is 2 year old and onnly game I play on it is CS:S and I aint gonna upgrade for another 2 years.

consoles all together has every genre in the bag (except flightsim) and better exclusives for less than a half decent pc and all 3 consoles will last at least 5 freaking year, unlike my pc.

Yeah, I feel sorry for hermits putting up with "PC's cost millions of pounds" argument. The only reason I dont buy more games is I really find it a pain in the backside, it probably wouldnt cost *that* much more than consoles.

Still, I would rather have one console and a PC. One offsets the weaknesses of the other.

It's always the same. Play what you prefer. I have top notch PC which servers me as a gaiming platform and I also own a Nintendo Wii as I grew up with Nintendo. I really don't see the need to buy a PS3 or an Xbox360, but that's my personal opinion, there are games I would love to play even if they score 4.0.

Yeah. The fact of the matter is that no matter which platform you go for, you'll need to spend lots of money to get the best out of it.

If you want all three consoles on a sweet plasma screen with all the bells and whistles, you'll be spending many thousands of dollars.

If you want a powerful PC with the best GPU and all the bells & whistles, then you'll be spending many thousands of dollars.

Do most people fall into either of these categories? Hell no! My computer isn't top-of-the line. I can't play Crysis to all it's potential but I spend most of my days playing wc3 and counterstike anyway. If I wanted to play crysis i'd need to spend money on an upgrade. Just the same that if I want to play the next metal gear game, i'll need to spend money on a ps3 because I only have a 360 right now.

Thing is all reviews are reviewers opinions. For example, Crysis for me is 10.0 from a technical standpoint, but the gameplay in that game feels more like 6.0 for me, been there done that, physics and no matter what can't fix the issue for me. As said this is an example, not everyone feels the same tho.

So all the AAA, AA, A game scores are there so you can make the first basic judgement, I always play demos first before I go and buy a game, if I like what I see and experience I will go buy the final game, even if it scores 1.0 here on Gamespot or wherever.

Yes one could argue that PC has the most quality titles, and as a avid PC user I can agree, games are more complex over here and offer additional fun through free expansion like patches and modifications, but not everyone is seeking this. I also noticed degradation of gaming quality since the last generation of consoles, and it's even more visible in this generation, console gamers wont know or notice this as they are used to play games tailored for the limited input boxes, but PC gamers will. Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon are perfect examples and the last one would be UT3, while gaming stays intact, the menus are totaly console like, even the review mentiones that.

However all that doesn't mean that there isn't quality titles on the consoles, but each individual has it's own taste, some collide with yours some don't so in the end of the day the scores don't really mean that much, it's just a indicator of which games you should really avoid and which you should check out if there is a way. But yes this is Systemwars and arguing around that is kinda pointless here.

Uh, no? You have to look at the facts. PC is much easier to develope for, has way more developers working on games and expansions. And as of late the 360 versions of most of the recent games has actually outscored their K&B counterparts and that's not only because the "PC" has higher standards. Hermits will no longer have resolution to fall back on.

Resolution stops mattering at 1080p anyways...Unless you want to sit 2 feet away from a 32" Monitor..

... Umm... PC Monitors can go MUCH higher than 1080p already... By the time the next consoles are out, this monitor will be the standard

so.... 2560 x 1600 resolution. And I would imagine the high end would be getting MUCH higher than that. So I imagine we could continue pulling the resolution card. You forget, EVERYTHING in the PC industry advances, including monitors.

Editing, downloading, work applications, watching streaming movies on my tv, music, watch dvd's on my tv, bang for the buck I think the PC is the best way to go. Soon enough there will be full streaming television then my pc will do everything.

Uh, no? You have to look at the facts. PC is much easier to develope for, has way more developers working on games and expansions. And as of late the 360 versions of most of the recent games has actually outscored their K&B counterparts and that's not only because the "PC" has higher standards. Name me 10 quality PC exclusives that has come out this year and I will name you 10 console exclusives.

I for one love PC gaming not for the just overall better graphics than consoles(I own all the consoles for certain games), but just for the customization. I like building and tweaking my PC's. If you don't, well than good for you. I happen to enjoy making and downloading different mods for games and changing my system specs every now and then, maybe overclocking a few parts, swapping cases, just trying to show my baby off. Consoles are great for just sitting down and playing with friends, but my PC is my gaming center, and my showpiece.

I completely agree with you, theres nothing more fun than getting to fix some problems with my 360 by sending it back to microsoft. During that time, I may buy some differen't faceplates which really make my 360 look super sexy. I find that I get as much gameplay out of the halo 3 calibration tools, as I did with the game itself. PC gaming and Xbox 360 gaming sure are a blast. I know plenty of xbox 360 gamers who have tweaked with the powerbrick in order to send the xbox 360 an extra amp or two, who knows what will happen, its like a horror game, its a blast!

Please, i dont wanna be agressive but lets stop being ignorant, with my 8600 GT that costed me about $120 i can easily max out those games, so I dont see any reason for a "$400 video card"
