PC Gamers: Are any of you genuinely excited for the PS4 or XBOX ONE?

Even though the Playstation 4 and the XBOX ONE are already outclassed by current PC hardware, are there any PC gamers who are excited about them? If so, is your excitement in regard to the technical aspects of the consoles or just in regard to the exclusive games that they'll offer?

Despite the fact that neither console will compare to my PC, I am still excited about them, particularly about the PS4, which I pre-ordered. I'm looking forward to Killzone: SF, inFamous: Second Son, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the first two of which will never come to PC and the third of which will come to PC but only long after being released on console. As for the technical aspects of the machines, I think that even though they're weaker than current PC hardware, they'll still output impressive visuals because they're powerful enough and games will be designed specifically for their architecture.

As a PC gamer for over a decade who prefers pc gaming over console gaming I am very excited for both consoles when it comes to exclusives and console only multiplats and it's why I have both preordered for day one buys.

Dead? Pff. PC Gaming is awesome! The graphics make the immersion experience one hundred times better than on console. I've been playing Crysis 3 all day and it's been incredible. Full 1080P @ 50-60 FPS with all settings cranked up. You can't get that on console, baby.

I like the PS4.....

Only the Xbox One looks interesting so far, but I'm not buying one.

I was excited for the PS4 when it was first announced but everything that has been shwon thus far aside form Infamous looks uninteresting to me

Not sure if I really "qualify" as a PC gamer as I still play consoles and handhelds a lot but yeah, I'm pretty excited about the PS4. Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV, Metal Gear Solid 5 and whatever else Japan throws at the PS4. Not to mention playing with friends on games like The Division.

People continue to talk about hardware and power but it's not showing in the PC games. 1080P/60FPS is nice but that still doesn't take high-end hardware for the multiplats. All of my favorite PC games have been indies or MMO/MOBAs, games that any laptop can play. The hardware talk is irrelevant when there are very few games that push it on PC. It's not just consoles holding back PC hardware, it's PC gamers themselves. The jump to next gen will be nice for a bit but the consoles will be capped relatively quickly and then we'll be back to blaming them for holding back PC games.

I'm getting an Xbox One but not because it's something to be excited about, just because it's the next machine that will play Halo, Forza, and whatever console exclusive I fancy.

Yeah, I'm getting PS4. Mostly because I really do want PS4 (I currently have 360), but also because Microsoft won't sell X1 in Croatia. For now, that is.

Yep. After seeing what the PS3 and Xbox 360 could do, the peak being The Last of Us which I finished not long ago, it's pretty exciting to think of what developers like ND will do with the PS4, and others with the Xbox One. And to think that the PC will keep moving forward on top of that. Exciting times ahead.

Interested? Ofcoarse! Excited? Nope!

What's there to be excited about? Multiplayer fees? Overpriced games? But then again, I'm really surprised with the PS4 price, I didn't expect it to be that low.

None of the games look that good. I'll probably get a PS4 a few years down the track... if that.

I'm looking forward to supporting the PS4. The only platform that actually seems to care about gamers.

Not really excited for either. Have a ps3 and 360, but don't use either much. PS3 has served me well and UC2 is amazing.

Not a lot of exclusives have drawn my attention. Infamous Second Son and Quantum Break are the only ones I care about. Rest are coming to PC or even the older consoles. Neither are worth getting a console for. If Uncharted 4 came to PS4 and it had an established library of games, I might think about getting it. Remedy might push to get Quantum Break on PC.

Either way, I'm waiting a year or two before considering.

I finished downloading Tomb Raider via Steam about twenty minutes ago (I got three free game keys with my HD 7970), and decided to try it out. I'm very surprised at how good it looks; I honestly did not expect it to be a visual powerhouse, but I was wrong. I'll post some screenies.
