Same drill like last time.......
PC for multiplats and pc exclusives, PS4 for the few PS4 exclusives (and sports games) that I want. If needed be, I'll also buy an XB1 for its exclusives. But, the majority of my games will still be on the PC.
Right now though, the only console I have any excitement for is the PS4.

[QUOTE="SKaREO"]PS4 convinced me to toss my PC next gen. It's really that impressive.airshocker
does that mean you'll troll the PS4 boards instead of the PC boards?Â
One can only hope.
It's only trolling when you disagree with me. And you only disagree with me because you're bitter. Hermits will never change. "Graphics graphics graphics" but they have no good games to play so they play console games on their PCs. Hermits are really a sad group of losers.Well, since I'm already going to enjoy better games, better graphics and better performance on my PC, I have to answer "no". Hope at some point, in two or three years, the so-called "next-gen" consoles will finally have a vaguely decent library. But that will be light years from the quality and quantity that can be found on PC.
Nope, but in a years time when they both perhaps have a more impressive library that what they are offering intially i may consider picking up one or maybe both depending on the exclusives each may offer over the other which might not be available on the pc. Â

It has a higher power-to-price ratio. $400 for a system more advanced than any current PC hardware architecture. 8GB GDDR5 RAM in a unified archetecture is more powerful than any current PC. Even a GTX Titan only has 6GB of GDDR5 RAM and it costs $1000 for only a video card. For the price of a PS4 you get by far the most powerful dedicated computer gaming machine ever built. One can only hope.

Point out what part is false.[QUOTE="Consternated"]Having more GDDR5 doesn't make it more powerful for a start, ya wally.SKaREOIt does matter when your system operates in a heterogeneous unified memory architecture. Alright. Feel free to compare that 8GB of GDDR5 to my 3930K & 2X SLI 3GB GTX780s. I have nowhere near the amount of GDDR5, but I don't have to choose between 1080p & 60fps - Why?
Hell, even my second rig... 3GB of GDDR5 on a 7950 OC'd @ 1100MHz. Surely that's less than half as powerful as a PS4.
Not really, it just looks like more of the same, except they look better graphically.PernicioEnigma

And the pc's already ahead at launch... and seems to be the lead platform for most of the games.
Oh wells.

Not easy to compare two completely different hardware architectures, especially when one of them costs nearly 5 times more than the other. I imagine that PC was over $1600. In terms of power-to-price ratio, your system is bloated and overly expensive if you simply want to play games on it.
Different strokes for different folks. I enjoy playing above 1080p & at 120 (144) fps, without compromising visual fidelity. My second setup (3570k, 7950, 8GB RAM) can be put together for just a few hundred quid more than a PS4, and will trounce it in terms of sheer power. Having 8GB of GDDR5 doesn't suddenly make the thing a miracle box.ConsternatedHeterogeneous unified memory access is an exciting new feature for a gaming device and it's what sets the PS4 apart from any other gaming system available today. There's obviously a lot more involved than just system architecture, but that's one of it's strongest points.

I agree, it's exciting - but it's still being utilized with a weak as hell APU.

Well yeah. So far nothing looks better than Crysis 3 maxed out on Pc.How can anyone look at the specs and price of the Xbox and actually consider buying it? After it is reveal Microsoft cooperates with American spies and adds a mandatory camera and always-on microphone system to their new console. The level of stupidity astounds me.SKaREOBecause in the end specs really aren't that important. As much as the people here will make you believe that, what it came down to me was I wanted dead rising 3 more than deep down. The platform it comes on is a necessity, THeres also features on xbox one that are also very nice, like the ability to hook up my ps3 to it since my tv is old and only has 1 hdmi port. There are more xbox games that I'm interested in, its really that simple.
Even though the Playstation 4 and the XBOX ONE are already outclassed by current PC hardware, are there any PC gamers who are excited about them? If so, is your excitement in regard to the technical aspects of the consoles or just in regard to the exclusive games that they'll offer?
Despite the fact that neither console will compare to my PC, I am still excited about them, particularly about the PS4, which I pre-ordered. I'm looking forward to Killzone: SF, inFamous: Second Son, and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the first two of which will never come to PC and the third of which will come to PC but only long after being released on console. As for the technical aspects of the machines, I think that even though they're weaker than current PC hardware, they'll still output impressive visuals because they're powerful enough and games will be designed specifically for their architecture.

The PS4 should be good, the xbone is pretty awful though.

Well yeah. So far nothing looks better than Crysis 3 maxed out on Pc.Agreed. I played it for hours yesterday, maxed out at 1920 x 1080 and was in awe the entire time, especially during the parts where you can traverse the desolate, rocky environments while in a tank or those racing-like vehicles.Â

I'm surprised it took this long for the idiot to find SW.Im excited about seeing game development move away from 8 year old hardware... yes. Â Im getting a Ps4 and I'm psyched to see what type of sensible gamercentric ideas valve has with the steam machines... The Xone has the most to prove for me, but I believe that MS will prove it's a worthy purchase... Yeah, Im psyched to get started.

Not sure if I really "qualify" as a PC gamer as I still play consoles and handhelds a lot but yeah, I'm pretty excited about the PS4. Kingdom Hearts 3, Final Fantasy XV, Metal Gear Solid 5 and whatever else Japan throws at the PS4. Not to mention playing with friends on games like The Division.
People continue to talk about hardware and power but it's not showing in the PC games. 1080P/60FPS is nice but that still doesn't take high-end hardware for the multiplats. All of my favorite PC games have been indies or MMO/MOBAs, games that any laptop can play. The hardware talk is irrelevant when there are very few games that push it on PC. It's not just consoles holding back PC hardware, it's PC gamers themselves. The jump to next gen will be nice for a bit but the consoles will be capped relatively quickly and then we'll be back to blaming them for holding back PC games.

Yea we are really holding back pc hardware:roll: Could you please elaborate on this some more? And yep 1080p/60fps has become a big deal here on SW especially with lems and cows.
pc  surveyed hardware isnt that impressive compared to upconing consoles. Pretty simpleThart survey is optional my PC is more powerful than next gen yet I never filled one wasn;t aware there was one when I started using steam and I know friend that haven;t filled one either.
Excited not even close . Why to be ? Playing Battlefield 4 for example at medium settins and 720p? You cant be excited with that kind of hardware.
Â
Interested though, yeah i am. PS4 that is. I like some of their exclusives and its a company that always , whatever happens , delivers and value their customers.
[QUOTE="clyde46"][QUOTE="SKaREO"]How long now until Grand Theft Auto Online reaches the PC? Oh wait..SKaREOAlready got GTA on console. Try again. Also, that is beside the point as that is not what this topic is about. That's exactly what this is about. There's no games on PC worth playing anymore. Why else would anyone want to leave PC gaming after 25 years? Obviously you have bad taste in games if you think anything since 1999 on the PC was worth playing. Barely anything on the console is worth playing either, hence why I spend 100% of my gaming time playing Grand Theft Auto until Metal Gear Solid 5 is out. PC is dead bro, get over it. Steam is making you a console controller so you can play Half-Life 3 on your TV. Get used to it. Your just a hipster douche at the end of the day. not worth the effort.
Tomb Raider is a beautiful game, and it's a fantastic game as well. If it was a PS3 exclusive cows would be hyping it like the 2nd coming. First Tomb Raider game I play since 2, and loved every minute of it.I finished downloading Tomb Raider via Steam about twenty minutes ago (I got three free game keys with my HD 7970), and decided to try it out. I'm very surprised at how good it looks; I honestly did not expect it to be a visual powerhouse, but I was wrong. I'll post some screenies.

Dead? Pff. PC Gaming is awesome! The graphics make the immersion experience one hundred times better than on console. I've been playing Crysis 3 all day and it's been incredible. Full 1080P @ 50-60 FPS with all settings cranked up. You can't get that on console, baby.
why make a stupid thread if your gona troll consoles PC alway gona have best graphics what new and consoles have games PC don't same with PC.ITT: SKareo wasn't getting any bites from his lame ass trolling on the PC boards, decides to try it here where people are unfamiliar with his multi-year invasion of the PC boards
