See i told you... That is next week argument for beating the PS4 price wise..lol

well i mean, if we're just talking about whether or not you need a case ... clyde's technically not wrong.

I know neither was i,i wasn't joking when y say you can run all the components without a case, and turning on is super easy, even without a power button.

The reason i bring that argument is that they are so focus in cutting corners to beat the PS4 that is even funny..lol

That looks like a Gigabyte GTX 560 Ti Windforce (OEM?). I got one too (my spare in case my GTX 770 bites the dust). ;)

My old 750w Diablotek couldn't handle it, even with a +12v rail of 36A.

Impossible ask leandro you can power a hybrid car with a 400 watts diablotek PSU.

the old PSU projects, from 15 years ago, are all 250W, its before the graphics card era,

the disonest PSU manufacturers sell 250W PSUs labeled 400 500 600W, if you cant trust the PSU you better not put anything above 250W on it

Hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

Man i trusted older PSU of the 1998 than the one i buy now, components are build each and every day cheaper and cheaper, quality isn't even close,i remember how i use to have 4 fans in my house,by the early 80's they were already like 10 years old,and last us well into the late 90's,man now i buy a fan and it will be lucky if it last 3 years, not only that the motors are extremely weak.

Things are to cheaply build this days,i remember my old Tonka Truck my dad gave it to me,i was his and i would sit on that sh** and nothing would happen it was incredible how durable they were, look now for a Tonka good luck finding one like in the old days.

Those requirements are base on average quality psu's and are marked up to cover their asses. The actual usage of system with those gpu's at times are half of what the they recommend

I could care less what you think as well, there is a reason most gamers with good GPU have also a nice PSU,and not a cheap 400 Chinese one,i could have walk out of TigerDirect with a $16 dollar PSU,but i didn't because my damn card manufacturer ask for 500 watts at least, hell my CPU is 125 watts as well,is not an Intel one which draws less power,so yeah i play it safe.

And the manufacturer give me an advise i took it,and i am sure many more does, just look at the rig thread where people were posting gift of their set ups hell my PSU is cheap compare to the ones i saw there, and mine was like $50 dollars.

Well then you totally missed the point as usual...... manufacturers over overestimate to cover them selves from idiots and sue happy people. And if you actually knew anything of the why you wouldn't be posting. The reason why they ask for 500w is because even with mediocre 500w psu's they can supply the Amperes needed for the 12v rail for your gpu. Dont ignore the fact that even your system is lucky to use 300w at peak use. The point is you dont need what they recommend especially if psu quality is good. As a rule of thumb for long term use you want 100w more then you need to run a system. Because as capacitors age"years" they lose the ability to produce the power as they when new.

Also if you even bother reading the other posts you can see the fight of defending POS psu's is idiotic.

It's clear that you shit birds don't know a god damned thing about electronics. Capacitors don't produce power. Jesus... Capacities store power, and the only time they will ever gradually lose capacitance is when they leak, the electrolytic ones, anyway.

Do I have to quote an entire review from Johnny Guru to make you understand?

lol.... now granted I used a poor choice of words. Capacitors store the electric charge... they're part of the larger process of translating AC to DC so when they cant hold the charge like they should the PSU cant produce the correct amount of power and current needed.

13 dollar mouse and keyboard for real.? My PS4 doesn't come with a $15 dollar controller.

Useless for you,i don't like Digital download,HDD fill specially a 500GB one, which mean if you erase something you have to re download it again.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BQWTGIS/ref=twister_B00BI83EVU?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Whats this.? The physical copy of Watchdogs for $45 dollars.? But how can that be.? The digital one is $59.99..

So i am saving $15 dollars juts by having a useless DVD drive.? hahahaa i almost made out what it cost...hahaha

But i build much smarter than you.

OK i will now count the 24 games PSN+ give me in 1 year for those $50,this month alone on PS4 there is Strider and Towerfall accession.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/251470/

Towerfall $15

http://store.steampowered.com/app/235210/

Strider $15.

This month free on PSN+...

Last month Trine 2 which was going for $20 at the time at steam, now is $4 dollars with a discount,so what is better $20 dollars or free.? Hell what is better $4 dollars or free..hahahaahaaa

So between this month and last one i already make $50 compare to the prices of those games on steam.?

You do know xbox live is now like PSN+ right so you also get games, which are not free on PC from what i posted now..lol

This month on games with gold on xbox live..

http://store.steampowered.com/app/214770/\

Guacamelee $15 dollars on steam free on live.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/255390/

Max the Curser of the brother hood $15 on steam..lol

So once again $30 dollars, any of the lemming can argue already that they save $30 compare to steam, they already make half of their investment.

Oh wait August games with gold are already know.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/288370/

Strike Suit Zero $5 dollars on steam after price drop, what is better again $5 dollars or free.?

Should i go on.?

Is funny how you want to partially build a PC,to try to imply it is a better value than consoles, but yet you refuse to admit PSN+ and xbox live free games as something that has some worth.

Is sad to see you try i have a more powerful than PS4 PC,it has a FX6350 with a R9 270 and it cost me more than a PS4.

We don't need a "next week's argument". The PS4 lost the price war with the PC way back in January.

No it didn't..

Build a PC like the PS4 without cutting corners and stealing intellectual property pirate.

Blu-ray

Wifi

OS my PS4 comes with one so does the xbox one.

Mouse key board.

And a PSU that will not set your house on fire..lol

Hell if you want you can count xbox live and PSN+ vs PC still consoles will be cheaper.

@tormentos: Its not often I'm on the same page as you but I do believe the TC is nuts. What is the point of PC gaming? To do things better. I can't for the life of me believe that someone would actually buy and put together this death trap. I mean, why bother paying $300 for something like this with a shitty KB/M, no Windows, no monitor, no speakers etc when I can walk into town and grab a PS4/X1 for $50 more. Take them home, plug them into a simple TV and boom I'm playing games.

Yep. at worse fidelity with less freedom and ultimately worse game play, for more money. Sounds like a bargain for people like you...

At the potential hazards of this PC build... i'd rather get a console for a bit more and know for sure it's gonna work.

Exactly...hahahahaa

I was given a R9270 as gift,so i went to tigerdirect close to my house, and build from there on,i was going to get an intel CPU,but since the i5 was more expensive,i went with the FX6350,is not the best ever, but i am sure it is better than the one on my PS4,and core by core,i also could have walk with a $16 dollar PSU but i ruled against it and sped like $49 on getting a better one playing it safe,my PC cost me $430+ the GPU was a gift and now i have a PC stronger than my console, hell i am thinking about buying a cross fire mobo and another R9 270 just so i can boost frames,i already has one.

Playing with a cheap mouse and keyboard is a joke, alto some good ones could cost a pretty penny, but you can buy a decent one without breaking the bank.

To do a crappy PC like he did,i would have save that money and buy me some games or a tablet, hell at least i would have a full product.

Worse fidelity? Its playing games at same or worse settings than the consoles. Less freedom? Subjective. Worse game play? It would be running the same games as consoles so the gameplay would be the same that is, if it was running Windows....

Keep grasping them straws.

It's a nice step up from that dual core I'll bet. Just clock that r9 270 to 1050/1200 or 1050/1250 and you pretty much have a r9 270x

Dunno if it's possible for you to reach what mine get to though. 1175/1450

I suppose he could do what I did earlier..... He He.

I went to a resale store and bought 4 Dell L100 keyboards and 4 MS Intellimouse Optical 1.1s for $5 apiece.

My family tend to use wireless keyboard and mouse sets. I was concerned we might be caught without batteries one day. I thought I should buy some wired keyboard/mouse sets just in case.

Both my wife and daughter were delighted and grabbed a pair each. For those who saw my den filled with keyboards in past photos, they're probably thinking I'm out of my mind. ;-)

Do yourselves a favor and quit worrying so much about perceived value between the two platforms. You'll be much more satisfied with spending $800-$1000 on a new PC that not only craps all over the consoles in their current state, but could manage 4k gaming, and literally last this whole generation as devs get better optimization out of the PS4 and Xbone.

You say that now but in 5 years? However, the mid range is a good price point to stick to, upgrading every couple years, instead of spending ALOT at any given moment.

There are different strategies to getting good value for your dollar over a set period of time. LOL I need to upgrade bad myself. I look at a "guaranteed will outlast the console generation" system to be one with twice as much CPU GFLOPS capability (FX8000 or SB Core i5+), twice as much GPU with 4 GB VRAM or more (R9 280), and 16 GB RAM.

I'm pretty tired of my Phenom II x4, Radeon 5850, and 4 GB of DDR3, all circa 2009.

Landro and is 2kfarret are getting wrecked in this thread ahahhahaha.

Peasant Class gamers so worried about saving money they remove components, using cheap ones, pirating OS. So sad, maybe wait until christmas and you'll have enough money from your parents to buy a better rig :(

I can walk into town and grab a PS4/X1 for $50 more.

Know it's going to work? You don't and can't know that.

Same can be said for that hobo build.

Worse fidelity? Its playing games at same or worse settings than the consoles. Less freedom? Subjective. Worse game play? It would be running the same games as consoles so the gameplay would be the same that is, if it was running Windows....

Keep grasping them straws.

same or worse settings?

I find that hard to believe.

gameplay? I don't see many ps4 games at 60fps

With this build, you will not be running games at 1080p/60fps either.

Anything that the xb1 can run at 1080p/60, this PC can as well. The TC already demonstrated this...

Not for $299

Eh, I'm looking at the prices he posted, and every time I do it comes up to $299................................

For $299, this PC cannot play BF4

Care to elaborate? Please, for the love of God, do not write something dumb as dog shit stupid like "It doesn't come with Windows!!!!111one".

Care to explain how that $299 build will play BF4? or any other number of games?

Quite well. A tiny bit better than the XB1, in fact. Just like any PC more powerful than the XB1 would.

Except it can't, because those games require windows, which this build lacks for $299.

@farrell2k: which not everyone has. So I guess it's a $299 gaming PC if you already have a copy of windows and then a spare PC to use to install it. But as posted, that build cannot play games like BF4 for $299.

So should I wait for whatever terrible excuse you have next, or are you just going to go straight to your "I'm smarter than you" insults while managing to misspell something in the same breath?

Yawn.

And if you don't then maybe this isn't for you. It's not for you if you cannot assemble the components, either. Was that so hard?

Btw

Compatibility Notes
  • ECS H87H3-M3(1.0) Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Diablotek DIAMOND ATX Mid Tower Case w/400W Power Supply does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports.
  • (Flag compatibility notes as incorrect.)

Also, i'm guessing the router would need to be connected to the computer, so no wi-fi at all?

So many of these topics lately! PC is my platform of choice but if people only have £400 odd quid to spend I would always suggest they buy a console.

Doesn't mean shit if you can't play anything on it. As we've said time and time again in this thread. Hardware is not enough. That PC at that price point can not, i repeat, CAN NOT play games like BF4. The X1 can and that is a fact you can not argue. Look at it this way. If you put a Prius up against a Dodge Viper, the Prius has gas, the Viper does not.... I wonder which one will win.....

My $450 FX6300, 8gm ram and R9270 craps all over consoles. No need to spend near $800 to leave consoles in the dust, especially at 1080p.

No it doesn't crap all over it,is basically the difference between the 7850 vs the 7870,an R290 GPU is not a world from the PS4 dude, stop your stupidity, and mine has a FX6350 and cost me more than $430 without even counting the GPU or OS.

And that R270 will not do you 4k..lol

That combination he chose will not yield 1080p 60FPS in most games either for him, unless he gives up quality or effects, which is basically doing what consoles are doing, basically he is a peasant within the Master race..hahaha

@farrell2k said:

Yeah that is because he is a pirate who steal windows, and he left components out,can you see 3D blu-rays on that set up.? Oh wait it doesn't have Blu-ray,mouse or key board not even a damn wifi card..lol

@farrell2k said:

You're trying to make the discussion something more than it is, a comparison between the xb1 and $299 pc hardware running specific specific software. You cannot and will not make it more than that, no matter what you write.

The xbox comes with Bu-ray,wifi N,controller a good one,OS and a power supply that is right for its components, without the hazard of setting your house in fire.

Now you either count those or you are just not on par with the xbox one,you are below it.

As i already tell you i don't need a case to put my components so yeah no case either i guess..lol

You people are officially peasants within the master race..lol
