@gpuking: I agree with this to an extent, but you have to understand why this is actually happening. Most game studio's are what? They're primarily console developers and PC studios are few and far between and have no where near the capital to develop insane engines anymore. So by intrinsic connection PC games are being held back graphically by the console development budgets, just as this was the case for the 360/PS3 it is now already the case one year into the life cycle of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

yesterday I played some PS3 games on a plasma and for a moment I thought it was a PS4. The plasma was only 720p but just because of the much higher contrast and colors it made everything look fantastic. LCD's, even the most expensive ones are whack. They always feel like they are lacking something due to their lack of contrast and not to mention the fucking judder. I've had many LCD's through the years and judder is something I have never been able to get used to yet it seems most people don't even notice that annoyance because I never see anybody complaining. Maybe they use the 120hz post process to overcome it without caring for the lag?

The only real problem with plasmas, beside scaring people away because of burn ins, is that they offer much more superior image but they always have higher input lag than LCD's for some reason. But that's something you could only notice if you play games competitively because I mean, most consoles games are 30fps anyway, 100ms is the lowest input lag it can be achieved at that frame-rate and no one ever complains about lag. So a bit of more lag due to the TV will cause no harm.

Infamous: Second Son ps4's graphics runs smoother and looks better than the PC version.

you are right, ps4 games look even better than pc games. pc devs don't make their games pretty, they can't afford it.

Agreed, right now the multiplat games I play on my PC look the same as my roommates PS4 versions. And I'm playing everything on "Very High" or "Ultra". Far Cry 4, Shadow Of Mordor, and others look the same, that I can see.

I guess I get better framerates? PC folks are either exaggerating or just lying when they say consoles are so far behind. They really, truly aren't.

That all depends on context I guess. I remember some beginnings of previous gens where PC had to catch up to consoles, yet this gen a mid end PC can easily hold out against these new consoles with brand spanking new hardware.

Last gen a few years in we had games like Metro and Crysis on PC. Games like BF3 or Far cry 3 showed massive differences between PC and console versions.

Yeah, this is the start of the gen. You won't see any difference between most PC multiplats on ultra and the PS4 version.

But again, depending on context you could say when it comes to 4K and framerates above 30 up to 144 fps consoles are far behind. But then again you won't be playing any PC games 4K at max settings at 144 fps so...
