1. I haven't had any hassles running games for a year and a half.
2. And consoles dont freeze up and need servicing?
3. Playing Wii music and Virtua BS Tennis can't compare to being able to surf the net, check mail, instant msging, word processing and the alike.
4. You're right!! They couldn't get VR working well before consoles so they just had to settle for K+M. It was never intended.
5. What do you think happens with consoles? Buy one, its out dated in a few years. You can replace PC parts, cheaper too.
6. PC Gaming has been on top for the last 3 weeks mate. Check the charts in Australia. Sims 3 - 1.4million copies in a week.
1. So much hassle getting games to run at optimum levelsGet a good rig and that's not a problem. Plus, some games come with an "optimize button" or have few settings to tinker with making finding the right settings easier.
2. So many glitches, patches and general BS that goes along with it.
You say it as if every PC game is unplayable. And are you complaining that there's fixes for the glitches?
3. Sitting alone, hunched over infront of a monitor can never compare to relaxing on your sofa and enjoying a game on your bigscreen plasma with friends.
Every time you boot up a gaming console, your friends just pop up outta nowhere? Anyway, with the PC, you have options.
4. Mouse and Keyboard were never an intended interface for gaming.
FPS's say hi. Most other genres work fine with KB&M as well.
5. Buy a new rig, it's good for a couple years then it's dated for the latest games.
A good rig will last you a while. With minimum requirements, you'll only HAVE to upgrade when your PC is unable to meet those. Even still, you may only have to buy a few parts. You don't need to buy a new $1000 rig every two years.
6. PC gaming is in such a dire state that devs don't even bother trying to push the envelope in terms of graphics anymore. Crysis was there last serious effort to pump alot of finances into 'teh graphics', but it flopped in sales, third parties saw this and decided not to attempt games like Crysis anymore, as a result a game that came out on the PC two years ago is still the best looking.
I don't know much about that, so I cannot comment on the matter.airraido

Ok, thanks for sharing you opinion. I dont agree. I find the keyboard an mouse setup to work quite well. Crysis did not flop in sales. There are games on the horizon that will beat out Crysis in the graphics department.
My old rig from 2004 still runs most current games on medium settings, not too bad for a 5 year old PC. It's not a hassle to hit the auto detect button (found in most games) to adjust to optimum levels... I mean the flaws in your logic makes me laugh honestly.
[QUOTE="airraido"] 3 weeks in australia  biggest_loserYes? That is correct.
Didn't crysis sell over 1.5-2million?
I think the TC is just a raging console guy. Enjoy your little games in your 720 P with clunky controls and crappy frame rates, us PC gamers can enjoy the awesomeness of buttery smooth FPS, mods, more control options, and better graphics.
Mouse and keyboard weren't intended for gaming? Put me on an FPS, I use keyboard and mouse, put 5-10 guys with an xbox 360 /ps 3 controller on the other team.
I'm by myself.
I will own every single one of them.
Boom, nade, several head shots in a row, easy, while they're trying to actually figure out where I am, and by the time, they actually mash there little analog buttons to turn around, I would've won.

Why console gaming is so awful compared to PC gaming.
1.Unplayable frame rates in some games, you can't optimize it at all.
Remember oblivion? Fail.
Even metal gear sold 4 is choppy as hell.
2.Controls
Yes, you can use a gamepad, AND A WIDER VARIETY AT THAT, with a PC. PLUS you know what? Keyboard and mouse is win in FPS.
3.Cost.
People may be looking at this and think I'm retarded for this, but PC gaming is cheaper in the long run. You can build a good gaming PC for 500-700 bucks and it will last until the end of the Ps4/xbox 720 generation. With consoles, you have to buy hard drives, games that cost 60 bucks, gold membership for live, controller that cost 50-60 bucks while on PC, games cost o 50. Plus, steam week end sales. Fallout 3 for 20 bucks says hello.
4. Mods.

1. So much hassle getting games to run at optimum levels
That can be half the fun for enthusiasts.
2. So many glitches, patches and general BS that goes along with it.
Sometimes, valid point.
3. Sitting alone, hunched over infront of a monitor can never compare to relaxing on your sofa and enjoying a game on your bigscreen plasma with friends.
Not a valid point, LAN parties and HDMI outputs can give the same results.
4. Mouse and Keyboard were never an intended interface for gaming.
Most of today's genres saw their inception on the PC, and USB gamepads make this a moot point anyway
5. Buy a new rig, it's good for a couple years then it's dated for the latest games.
You can upgrade if you want, it is an option not a requirement.
6. PC gaming is in such a dire state that devs don't even bother trying to push the envelope in terms of graphics anymore. This is not because of the 'dire state' of PC gaming, this is because of the wide spread hardware demographic.
Not all PC gamers have rigs, and most games can even be brought down to play on a modernish laptop's integrated GPU.

Just my thoughts.
[QUOTE="SAGE_OF_FIRE"]Not a very good troll attempt, at least try to make valid points. Fizzman
the problem is that PC gaming has no negatives if you have a brain.
Yeah, and the thing is, most people say "LOLOLOLOL YOU CANT EVEN HOOK UP IT UP TO A TV"
Yes, you CAN
YES, YOU CAN
Say it with me.
YES, YOU, CAN.
plus you can buy a gamepad.
And if you're rich enough to get a big screen tv, you're probably rich enough to get a slider table or something to put your mouse and keyboard on.
oh, and, nobody uses there PC JUST for gaming, I go on the internet, watch videos, download stuff, etc etc.

Actually Fallout 3 is 24.99 on Steam. But it's still hell of a deal.
Same with that 2K games bundle that includes: Sid Meier's Civilization® IV, Sid Meier's Civilization® III Complete, Sid Meier's Pirates!, Shattered Union, Prey, CivCity: Rome, Civilization IV®: Warlords, Sid Meier's Railroads!, Railroad Tycoon 3, Railroad Tycoon II Platinum, X-COM: Terror From the Deep, X-COM: Apocalypse, BioShock™, X-COM: Interceptor, X-COM: UFO Defense, X-COM: Enforcer, Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword, Freedom Force, Freedom Force vs. the Third Reich, Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization. All for 53.99. The price of one console game.

Not if you know where to look.PC gaming sucks because it is missing so many genres and games that consoles have.

I love to see how fraternal sw gets when somebody bashes PC gaming, bash nintendo, and you get divided reactions, same for sony and microsoft, but can we all just agree that PC gaming is simply the highest stance of gaming? Regardless of which console brand we prefer? I like My Starcraft, dawn of war, Half Life and mods :P, needless to say superior multiplats of everythingAgentA-Mi6
That's true.
When you bash sony/nintendo/microsoft, you have one side vs one side.
Bash the PC, it's one console fanboy , his console fanboy friend, a 10 post count level 1 guy, vs everybody else.
Why would i have my friends over so they can sit in front of the big screen and watch me play video games? AAllxxjjnn
I think he was saying that it's better to enjoy a splitscreen game on a console that being hunched over a keyboard on your own.
I hate PC gaming to be honest, I always get bored of it, it's just not my thing, I like to relax while playing games, controllers are comfy and it's better with friends if we're playing multiplayer games.

1. So much hassle getting games to run at optimum levelsNo, unless you're mentally handicapped. It's not difficult to install a game, go to options, and change the settings. :| 2. So many glitches, patches and general BS that goes along with it. Part of console gaming too. It all depends on the game in question. 3. Sitting alone, hunched over infront of a monitor can never compare to relaxing on your sofa and enjoying a game on your bigscreen plasma with friends. You can do that with PC gaming too. :lol:4. Plus, if you don't like it, just plug in a 360 controller.5. Buy a new rig, it's good for a couple years then it's dated for the latest games. You buy a new console every generation don't you? You only have to buy a new rig every generation and you won't have to upgrade. Having the option to is NEVER a bad thing.airraido
I've seen better arguments against it in SW...
I was just playing Street Fighter IV on my PC with a friend with my 360 controllers, go figure.[QUOTE="DragonfireXZ95"]

You can't be serious with that response...
Guess what.....you can do all that on a PC. Big Screen, Couch, controllers, etc. And you act like sitting in a chair is extremely uncomfortable and bad for your back.
AAllxxjjnn
Guess what, there aint many games to play on PC with friends. What about Warhawk, The Warriors, Champions, Kung Fu Fists Of Plastic? And many more.
And I'd rather slouch on a bean bag rather than sit on a pc chair.

knight0151
Yes it did, and it did so about 4 months after release - over 16 months ago - with E.A. themselves specifically stating that it exceeded expectations and people are still clueless enough to think that it was a sales flop.

Anything you can do on consoles, you can do on a PC......get it through your head.
The difference is you can do it with better graphics, better controls, better framerates, etc etc.
