Those are the only options that make sense. Considering that I know from my own personal experience that even a 560ti, even worse than your mid-range 660, runs any PC game looking leagues better than the console version, and running over double the framerate. It doesn't take much power to completely demolish console capabilities. "High-End" PC graphics cards are pretty much just overkill, unless you use the extra power for super-HD resolutions and/or triple monitor surround displays.

Well you're playing wrong games then.

Regarding the games you're unable to run, dunno dude, most games come with additional software needed in order to make the game work, i.e. DirectX, .Net Framework etc. I hardly ever have issues making games work.

There are maybe 2 other models that will also fit, although both have lower clock speed and one of them is a reference card (i.e., crappy stock cooling unit). If you're willing to make some modifications you can fit just about any card in there, but I personally don't think it's worth the hassle.
