On the other hand we have have console fans so numerous and vigilant that proffesional sites actualy bother comparing multiplat differences that are always miniscule compared to the PC counterpart, this site explodes every time PSN is hacked, RROD is worth bringing up to this very day and PC gaming has been dying for 10 years.

The PC obviously has it's share of rabid fanboys but given the nature of the platform, Hermits tend to actually investigate a little before spouting our nonesense.

Also, I'd be weary of bringing up a topic like propaganda considering how such a thing is far more prevalent when a platform has a specific company backing it, which the PC is unique in being without.

The problem with the pc vs console community is,
Kinds don't get a PC for their birthday they get a console.

there is little to no difference,in the end a game is a game. there was a time PC had superior games, but now they end up on console too, yet the consoles get the best exclusives. so I see no superiority at all.

No so far this year. Not so in 07 either. he time in between is probably a matter of what you think of RTS. At any rate the plaform is severely impressive in how succesfull it is without multimillion advertising budgets flung around every two weeks.

As someone who plays on a PC, 360 and Wii there's not some vast difference in quality.

Different types of games, to be sure but each platform has great games. I'm not picking and choosing favorites between them because it's silly.

Great,then since I don´t like platformers,figthers,hack & slashers,motion controls games or JRPG´s then the consoles libraries have almost nothing to offer as well.

PC gamers are just more vocal than your average console gamer.

For first-person shooters, strategy games, certain kinds of action games - I'd take the mouse and keyboard.

For racing games and fighting games, I want a controller.

Agreed. However there are other factors you must take into consideration. Like mods. I would consider Oblivion one of the worst games I ever played without its modding community to be honest. Vannilla Oblivion was SO **** BORING FOR ME but the mods made it one of the greatest titles I ever bought.

Mods make a huge difference to an enjoyment of a game. A game with a modding community can extend its lifespam indefinately and basically be transfromed into many other WHOLE GAMES, not just mods of that game.

Games with extensive modding communities like Oblivion are quite rare, actually. For example, FEAR had an SDK, but how many mods were actually made with it? I can only count less than a dozen on its ModDB page.

Mods are an advantage - depending on the game. Something like Oblivion begs for tweaks, and even the less technically versed can create small mods quite easily. But, for games like Half-Life and so many other first person shooters, the amount of expertise required to create good mods is so high that very few high quality mods actually get released for public consumption.

I wouldn't call mods an absolute trump card in PC gaming - it's more of an extra. I am a PC gamer only because I prefer the mouse and keyboard.

Wait, what? Half Life 2 is probably one of the most modded games in history. Zombie Panic, Research and Development, Age of Chivalry etc.
