It's a very relevant comparison of the difference between the visual detail of 720p and 1080p. The actual game is irrevlevant and the example completely dis-proves your statement about consoles making better use of each pixle and texture when they are locked to 720p in the majority of games. On the basis of resolution alone, consoles graphic displays are inferior to the majority of gaming PC's.

This is just one area where console graphics are weaker than PC but after reading your posts, going into any further detail is totally futile as you're quite obviously in need of a new glasses prescription or you're immune the truth.

Keep crying Hermkids Uncharted 2: Best Technical Graphics 2008 The market is littered with games that look good in some ways but falter in others. Uncharted 2 is one of the few games that you virtually cannot find fault with in terms of graphics, no matter how much you nitpick.

It looks stunning in both screenshots and videos. You'll be just as impressed by the massive views of Nepal as you will by the most subtle of facial animations. At one point it even feels like the world is going to end as you fight for your life inside a collapsing building--and the frame rate stubbornly refuses to drop.

It's a good thing Uncharted 2's visual presentation is so uniformly excellent, because the developers at Naughty Dog clearly had their sights set on delivering a Hollywood blockbuster-level experience on the PlayStation 3--the same PlayStation 3 hardware that previous developers haven't always succeeded with. And boy, did Naughty Dog ever succeed.

Uncharted 2's graphics make you feel like you're watching a thrilling action adventure movie, from the way Drake desperately leaps from moving train car to moving train car, to the way his awkward smile betrays an unspoken tension between Elena and him.

The whole visual package is thoroughly impressive, and no game this year did it as well as Uncharted 2.

Also, isn't the point of upscaling blowing up a ~720p resolution to fit the 1080p screen?
