Actually, I lied. I am going to get into it. Piracy was NEVER the reason for the popularity of DRM. It prevents used game sales. Nintendo doesn't want you emulating/pirating their games, so they develop hardware to protect it. NA publishers with annual releases, on the other hand, are concerned about you selling their games about you get bored 5 hours in. They want you to get bored: that helps sells the annual releases. But it makes used games a big problem.

Given the strategies that have been employed before, and the fact it should be easy to "optimize" this game for vasty superior hardware, it's no big leap to assume the fundamentally dishonest people at Ubisoft are doing something dishonest. Again.

Uhhh, the game performs better on low end PCs than on either console. A 750 ti can produce 900p at console graphics settings and it'll do it with a more stable framerate. Console can't even maintain anywhere near a stable 30.

Meanwhile a moderately powerful PC like a GTX 770 and an old i7 from 2008 can run the game at around 50 FPS at 1080p with high/very settings and HBAO+ enabled.

There's is an abundance of evidence of Ubisoft's attitudes and their willingness to hurt PC releases. Your inability to see that has many possible explanations, but none of them are good.

It does have MANY possible explanations. But you are jumping to conclusions by saying that it's because someone is paying Ubisoft...that is just silly.

People please stop saying the GTX 750 Ti and R9 270 can play this game.

I am running it on low and it dips to 20FPS.

There's a video on Youtube of a guy with a i5 and FTX 750 Ti running it on low at 25FPS average.

The game is horrible to run.

As for that video of the guy with the GTX 660 on high settings average 40FPS?... Notice how his minimum is 10FPS!

Game is a mess.
