Enough about "Consoles are hooked up to HDTVs." So is my PC. That is a 55" LED LCD 3D TV that my PC rocks.
PC:
i7 920 @ 4.2GHz
GTX 580
3-WAY SLI x58 MB
1000W PSU
6GB Dominator GT RAM
G19 KB / x8 Sidewinder Mouse
PS: I can't wait for Witcher 2!

Thats 55"? Looks small for some reason.ChubbyGuy40
I was thinking his desktop must be awfully big if that is a 55" screen.
PC wins because you can hook it up to your HDTV??? according to your reasoning, PC has nothing against consoles.
Try again later, mate.

PC can actually do 1080p /trollface
And it can do that 5 more times at the same time.
Compare it to the PS3. My huge case makes it look small because that is a Corsair 800D Case :)

Nice setup man.
I aim to turn mine in a a 3 monitor setup myself, it will be possible this summer.
ChubbyGuy40
I used to have a 3 monitor setup but could never get used to it well. Kept going back to using one monitor. That's when I just went ahead and bought the TV instead of a 30" monitor. 3 monitors are a monster though, hope you get used to it better than I could.
Yeh but you can play consoles in a comfy chair. PC you can't apparently.
mattuk69
Maybe I should upload a picture of my executive chair as well?

That is one reason I chose to give. I did not want to give the other 800 reasons that have been discussed here to no end. Thanks.
Yes it does. You just have to be smart enough to set it up.PC doesnt do Split-screen, which is the only reason i care for having a big tv, so yeah.

That is a 55" compare it to the keyboard ont he desk or the PS3, the Case is a 800D Corsair FULL Case, its HUGE, which in turn makes you think of the puny cases you've seen making you compare it to the case and thinking its small.
Here you go :)

Look under "Details" and see how montrous the case is.
Here's the TV:

So you just sit half a meter away or maybe less from your 55 TV (looks like it from your set up) wen you play PC games so you can reach the mouse keyboard oO ?
Anyway the TV looks 40 inch max to me.
Now I've been out of the PC world for a little while but the TV looks like 40". Which isn't bad. But your PC is 24" across and it seems like that takes up half the screen. mrmusicman247
You guys do know that TV screens are measure diagonally, not horizontally right? Ask yourself, why would I BS you if you had a picture to look at?
Is it the lack of split screen or bevy of online cheaters or expensive cost for a good set up or bevy of different parts or ability to play some games but not others?
If so, its a winner to me.

Yes I know they measure diagonally. But whatever. I was just saying what I saw.I don't believe it is. Unless that is an extra super jumbo keyboard he's got there that thing is about a 40" at the most.

I'm not trying to call you a liar or anything, but my PC is hooked up to a 37" and comparing my set up to yours they look almost the exact same size. Just saying.Bah, it IS 55". This is far from the topic. I could post a picture of its measurement with a measuring tape if that would make you people happy.

Thats what i was thinking lol Looks like a 37 or 42 at the very most. Clean setup though.

What's the point in having a thousand dollar TV if your console can't even display games at that resolution? Buwahahaha! Even worse, it displays games *below* that resolution at times. Tisk Tisk. Thank you, I love my new sig. Hahahateh burn!:P

That is an awesome setup dude. I too have my gaming rig hooked up to my 1080P 50" Samsung Plasma. It looks nothing short of STUNNING at 1080P. And I use my wireless keyboard and mouse. Running the same games at 720P or sub-HD with low AA looks like crap compared to 1080P with 4x EQAA and 16X Anistrophic Filtering.

Exactly! I never understood this. In fact the bigger the screen the more crappier 720P and sub-HD resolution in games like Crysis 2 looks. Why spend thousands of dollars on an HDTV that can do 1080P and not buy a gaming rig for like $400-$600 range that could easily to 1080P. It doesn't make sense.

Yup, that is why console games look so blurry/aliased - 1280x720 stretched out on 55" is madness.
PC monitors are dense, and crystal clear. Console FTL (unless its on a monitor, and then it looks pretty good actually)
Once I can play most MMO's I like on a console, I'll have little need for a PC and little need for PC upgrades fortunately.
