Exactly! I never understood this. In fact the bigger the screen the more crappier 720P and sub-HD resolution in games like Crysis 2 looks. Why spend thousands of dollars on an HDTV that can do 1080P and not buy a gaming rig for like $400-$600 range that could easily to 1080P. It doesn't make sense.

Using a wireless mouse and keyboard from your couch is annoying as hell. Everyone I know whos had that setup takes it down within a year, usually less.

How so? I put it on my coutch and then I sometimes put it on the coffe table in front of my coutch. I see no problem.

look at the PS3 compared to the TV. I believe it is 55 inch, but I could be wrong. I take his word for it haha. I have a 55 inch LED LG TV (not 3D) sitting right next to me :P.

Don't deny it's hard to play PC with a keyboard and Mouse on a couch, lol.

I have my PC hooked up to my 40 inch Bravia, and it looks really nice. I like PC gaming a lot because of RTS games, but how fast the hardware becomes obsolete compared to consoles, and how much it costs is frustrating to me. None the less, I'm thinking about getting a new comp, either that or Wii2 depending how good the Wii2 looks.

Why do you think the PC doesn't do Split-screen? There is a nice amount of games that can do splitscreen or have coop off one computer so multiple people can play from.

Is it the lack of split screen or bevy of online cheaters or expensive cost for a good set up or bevy of different parts or ability to play some games but not others?

Why do people think there's a lot of cheaters on pc? There's almost none, and even if there is one, it's remedied much quicker than consoles because you can just ban the person from the server.

I'm one of those who believe that PC gaming rocks and is actually superior in some ways to console gaming, but that's a seriously bad argument... Of all the possible arguments you could have thrown to defend your system, this is by far the weakest.

And simply wasting time trying to prove a pointless argument in a pointless dispute about "which system is better" is a failure in itself.

Yeah, but the majority of gamers can't afford a rig like that. Consoles are the best means to deliver great games to a massive audience, which I think makes them the platform of choice for any developer.

But PC's can deliver the best gaming experience, given the funds and know-how.

what are you talking about, I am a pc gamer, even though I have ps3 and 360, I am mainly a pc gamer and am just outlining its flaws. I would love to see a super smash brothers melee type game for the pc with 4 player support, or a left 4 dead pc with split screen support. Most pcs nowadays have like 10 usb ports so I don't see why you cant just hook up a few xbox 360 controllers and be good to go on a huge hdtv.

Halo split-screen is sooo incredibly bad, after that experience I pretty much refuse to do it. LAN parties/two consoles/two TVs: only way to fly.

just because you don't like it doesn't mean everybody else won't either. Alot of us grew up with split screen gaming and had good memories from it. Is it that hard to include local multiplayer options so people can enjoy playing games with their friends in the same room?
