@cainetao11:Likewise, my friend, you are one of my favorite users on here.
But I would still disagree, in that it is entirely possible for me to support a company or a person, without supporting everything they do. For instance, I support Spencer's drive to make Xbox gamer centric. I support Spencer's push for varied games. I support Spencer's push to have an actual powerful console again. I support all of that- but I don't see the results of those pushes yet, and until I do... why should I purchase his system? I don't give my money away on a participation basis, I spend money on a product that I think is worth it. So I can give Spencer a chance in that I am eagerly waiting for his initiatives to pan out, and going into everything he does with an open mind (which, as you well know, is a trait that is at a premium these days), but until the things he is doing bear substantive results, I don't see any reason to spend money on his product. I didn't buy a Wii U until over a year in because I didn't feel that the product was worth my money- but you know how much I support Nintendo, and how many chances I give them. That didn't align with me buying the Wii U, not until I felt it was worth it. It's the same situation here. I give Spencer every chance to win me over- the minute he does, he will have my money. But not until then- ultimately, I have limited funds, and a lot of things vying for them, most of them far more necessary than video games (and what would at this point be a sixth gaming system)- so I am not in a position to blow $350 on a home console just to show support, I am afraid. I am in a position to buy what I want, maybe a bit later than I'd like, but to buy it nonetheless- and the day Spencer makes the Xbox something I like, I will buy it.
But that question remains independent of me supporting him.
