[QUOTE="landofcookies"][QUOTE="Dark_man123"] I'm sorry I didn't reflect my post to mean it as that, but it just sad that some people today only know the series for its multiplayer component. when i talked to my room-mate about call of duty i asked him if he played the campaign he told me that's not what he bought the game for and if he ever did he would only play it as a warm up and he continued saying call of duty is all but kicking ass online.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I agree with your friend. I doubt CoD was ever well-known for its SP in the past, anyway. Such games would rather be Half-Life or Stalker.
I agree that it wasn't well known for its SP, i wouldn't be surprise of the players today even played the original but i honestly find it hard how people could just play a yearly release game for its online which hasn't change much since the MW2.The MP is very fun, I think that's why people play it. Black Ops was very different from MW2, but MW3 didn't evolve quite as much, though. Still, it's much more balanced and focuses on gun-on-gun gameplay.
Instead of bashing a persons opinion how about explaining why an opinion is wrongThe fact you put black ops over cod4 just ruins your creditibility bro

Exactly why would that be... Black Ops is an excellent game with only a few problems at launch, that Treyarch patched.

Because it was the last cod that was gun v gun and simple, and the reason black ops existed.
CoD2. I still have played that game more on both PC and X-Box than any other game. I used to rip kids all day on Toujane witj the kar98k. Good times.

black ops had alot of variety, i will admit that but gameplay and maps were boring
COD4 on the PC and blackops, I liked W@W too but the servers online are just garbage, like the game modes they play.

Wow, the hate. Modern Warfare 3 is also very much focused on gun-on-gun, like CoD4. If not more.

Nothing to laugh about. Sure, there are 30 killstreaks, most of them offensive. But they have been nerfed immensely from MW2 and Black Ops.

I didn't say that, re-read again.Cod1, UO, Big Red One, 2 & 3
best In terms of MP was cod3
Cod3 by far had the best multiplayer in the series. Cod3 had so much more potential in its MP design than cod4 ever did. I loved the addition of team oriented classes, vehicles, larger maps, more players & no killstreaks.
Cod4 released & just killed anything good cod had going in terms of MP yet it gets the most praise. Cod4 was so nooby, so easy & yet so broken & unbalanced. Killstreaks should never have been included in the game. They took out team oriented classes, vehciles & large maps. For me it was a huge step back.
It sold like hotcakes though & cemented its MP design form there on out. The reason cod wll never change is becausecod4s MP design is what made cod into the biggest selling franchise.
I havent enjoyed cod MP since.
In terms of Campaign: For me Cod2 will always be the greatest.
The series is way past its prime though, i dont care for the direction they're taking it & the game itself just has nothing redeeming about it anymore. There are so many better games & franchises out there. I dont care for cod anymore.

Got a question, how many people do you think buy the game just to turn off the killstreaks in the normal playlist(not talking about barebones)

no, he means you can disable them regardless of playlist ... like you can just go with the specialist setup. Which a lot of people have been doing.I'm predominantly a single player person and nothing will match COD1. Even without the expansion packs it was an awesome game. COD 2 was ok but the regenerating health was a bit annoying. 3 was a ballsup and everything since then has really focused on multiplayer so, for me, isn't as good.
