Many people say CoD2, and I remember playing it in 2005. The campaign was very entertaining, but its MP lacked big time compared to recent titles, to be completely honest.

Call of Duty 2 is a current gen game. Get over it. nothing to get over. I am right and you are wrong. The game released before this gen started. It is last gen. Don't be so butt sore over it and press on. My daddy is better than your daddy! Deal with it.[QUOTE="AcidSoldner"][QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"]the 360 was the start of this gen for consoles. Did the game come out before the 360 released? Enough said. Doesn't matter if it was a few weeks or a few years. It released last gen.AmazonTreeBoa

Doesn't matter if it was a few weeks or a few years. It released last gen. Call of Duty 2 is a current gen game. Get over it. The only one that seems "butt sore" is you. It's pretty much universally agreed that Call of Duty 2 is part of this gen. The game was obviously developed with the 360 in mind considering it was such a robust launch title for the 360 and was released a mere 22 days after the PC version.I don't understand your defenition of generations... So if it came before the launch of the 360 then it is last gen? It came out October 25 on pc and November 17th on the 360.. PC doesn't have specific generations, it wasn't like it was a 3 year old port or anything it was less than three weeks old.. I am sure if the xbox was out by October 25th the game would have come out then too, it isn't like they released it on pc and where like "OMG GUYS! Teh 360 iz out in less than 3 weeks GET TO WORK ON A PORT QUICK.." The game was obviously being developed with launching along the 360 in mind, it couldn't have been done on last generation consoles as it was and didn't come out on last generation consoles so there for I think it is safe to conclude that it is a current generation title...

Yeah COD2 was not very fun online. I like Big Red One better online than COD2.Many people say CoD2, and I remember playing it in 2005. The campaign was very entertaining, but its MP lacked big time compared to recent titles, to be completely honest.

This was a tough call for me. COD4 was revolutionary, and I think Black Ops is the only true sequel as far as gameplay and map design. Still, shooters are getting watered down with campers and stat padders these days. I miss those game that didnt track stats and KDR. Players were just running out there and having fun with a new concept. My vote is COD3. 1) As stated, no stat tracking so people just relaxed and had fun. 2) It was the first COD with a fully fleshed out online. Many of the game modes introduced in COD3 were the core of COD4 online. War mode in COD3 remains my favorite in all the series. Map design was excellent too. 3) This was the last COD that sported weapons with significant recoil and without red dot sights, etc. So much better than W@W its not funny.-ArchAngeL-777-
You can't say stat tracking is a bad idea. It's a fantastic thing actually, for an online game. The problem is thata Treyarch/Infinity Ward must take thos formula they made with CoD4 and evolve it much more than they have done with MW2 and MW3.

CoD4.
Anything after CoD4 is the wrong answer.
Anything before CoD4 gets partial credit.

Black Ops is better than CoD4 on almost all levels. :?
It is only better than 4 in co-op, and that's because cod 4 didn't have that.

No martyrdom.
Combat record.
Theatre mode.
New features such as gold camos.
Better graphics.
Zombie mode.
More and more fun killstreaks.
CoD4 was more influential, but Black Ops is clearly the better game.

Then why even compare if you haven't even played it?COD2.....Played that game to death on the PC and 360. I'm sick of Modern military shooters. That excuse from gamers today saying that the 'WW2 theme being done to death' is completely untrue. The market is absolutely saturated with modern themed shooters that's it's pretty much become synonymous with gaming in general.
