I don't have much interest in either. After Halo Anniversary wasn't released on PC, I've had to let go of the hopes of the Halo franchise coming to the dark side. And Planetside 2... it's whatever. Moba's take up too much of my time as it is...

Loved the first Planetside but Halo is it's own thing. To me, Halo is all about the cinematic presentation. You will not get ANY of that in Planetside. Again, two different games. Clearly you're just trolling but I really like both so I offered my two cents.

you should be snapping up those $2 to $5 dollar deals on all the sites.

i went over to my buddys this week and he had just bought a slew of games for next to nothing, metro 2033, san andreas & vice city, company of heros, dragon age 1&2 and about half a dozen others and not one was more than 5 bucks.

What a tasteless attack on my country, I used Blizzard games to claim that fame/press coverage isn't everything, certainly don't determine the quality of the game, with that said though, they do have more universal appeal than Halo, so stop thinking Halo is the biggest thing ever, not even bigger than any COD games. It being bigger doesn't mean Planetside cannot be a game of comparable quality.

PS3 would be lucky to run the indoor sectors, much less 1/10th of a battle zone of this game.

Nope. The store is selling EXP boosters (so you don't have to grind as long) and cosmetic items only. Even without the boosters they say it will take a dedicated Planetside 2 player (using averages collected from planetside 1) about a year to unlock everything. This puts it on par with Planetside. Of course you could speed that up.

They are not selling anything that gives you a in-game advantage. That has been a major focus since day one. Nearly every interview with the main developer has had him mentioning they are not going to make the game Pay to Win in any way.

Of course this all remains to be seen, but considering they've been building this game around a F2P mechanic since it's development, I can absolutly believe it. TF2 was never built to be F2P.

Lets take two people both want same rifle. They normally play same amount daily, but the other one has booster. That means he gets the gun faster (which probably is better than the other dude has). That is pay to win - Not straight one like "I buy this gun with money, does 50 percent more damage than majority of other players' guns", but still is.

Edit: He buys booster with real money, gets gun faster. Where in that its not p2w? True that the other player gets the gun too, but much later.
