The design of the XSX doesn't look so bold now.

@briguyb13: Come on now, it wasn't that bad as I thought it would be. I kept my expectations low and it aid off. I like the PS5's design, great showing on the games and more to the point. The disc-less version was a real surprise and one I didn't see that coming. I'll likely purchase the disc-less console.

I fell asleep during the show. All that build up to show a router. Interested like 3 games I’m interested in and they’re all not new IPs but sequels. And no price yet? Man this thing must be expensive. The design of the PS5 is for artistic look and not really for function. It’s like they’re trying to get your attention with how it looks than how it under performs since the Series X is more powerful. Oh they’re having a digital version too after a generation of their fans hating on digital lol

I am concern about the thinness of the "fins". I need to see more. They promised a breakdown.

They had game-play for some games kudos for that.

Quite a few of the games where what the heck.

But Spiderman 2 and a few others look really good.

But I wonder what will actually be out at launch

Really good show. Graphics didn’t really impress me that much but if they can cut out a bunch of loading screens I’ll be content with the graphics they were able to display.

It was ok, just not much for me personally. Ratchet n Clank and a handful of other titles. Some of which are multiplats. Those indies looked ok, except those animal girls playing instruments on stage *pukes*. Very specific targets for that game.

As I said, they made it easy on me for launch. Nothing to make me want to run out and get the system on day one. The wait for a Pro model will be much easier now.

That was OK. Ugly console, but who care? But I hope they have it in black. I think my biggest complain is that most trailers weren't that good, and there were a lot of them! Jebus less time, less games and more time with each game. Hate this new trend!

Yeah I'm confused about the digital version. You would think it will be the cheaper version but that ssd size needs to be bigger. Its probably going to be more expensive. I'm a bit confused there.

Honestly a great presentation of games BUT...

• A Remake
• GTA5
• multi-platform games
• Sequels
• No price
• And nothing looks a generation better than what we already have visually

Yup, too many positives to having discs:

- You can borrow games from your friends

- You can simply insert the disc and play, don't require internet to download games

- PS4 download rate is kinda crappy

The unit itself is a bit ugly imo.

Don’t you think the SSD size will be the same? Surely you must install the full games on the drive? None of that SSD magic will work if you run the game from a disc.

I am glad they have a discless version. Less money to spend because I have no interest in discs.

Very meh. I skimmed through it. Horizon was the best thing they showed. Oh and the PS5 looks like an oversized router lol.

@davillain-: Funny, I was thinking the same about you. It's a scream. It's a look at me design, which will get tired very quickly. Give me a minimalist design any day......

I thought it was an overall 8/10.

I love that neither company wants to be the first to announce their new system is $600 lol.

Demon's Souls remaster is all I needed to see. I def won't be buying at launch but PS5 is my choice.

The graphics looked pretty much current gen to me. But I did noticed more enemies and npc on the screen in Ratchet and Clank.

A really good game lineup.

I thought it was a legit good showing. Not sure what people expect from these things, not like it's gonna be one banger after another obviously.

But they showed a good variety of games, showed us gameplay for a lot of them, plus a lot of new reveals.

Not bad at all.

Most of the games I was interested in are gonna be multiplat, so still not sure if/when I'll get a PS5. Definitely going digital edition if I do.

ghostwire, ratchet and clank, and gt7 are on the radar. Just hope gt7 isn't always online, but probably.

Oh and souls games are still trash, disappointed that bluepoint wasted talent on that, but not surprising. Not interested in spiderman diversity soapbox edition. Horizon - another assassins creed clone chore game.

Controller looks good, but gaudy, console is gaudy. At least the disc drive isn't sandwiched between plastic anymore, hope the drive doesn't scratch blu ray movies like ps4 did.

The showing was within expectations.

Yeah maybe I'm over thinking it. I figure they need to give you a bigger ssd so you don't have to redownload games. Having disc lets you quickly re install.

2 games for me Res Evil vill(exclusive ?) and Horizon ,my decision to hold off on the ps5 till 2021 may be put back till 2022..plus the design of a console has never been high on my list..is it quiet or loud like a moon rocket are higher on the list

Where was the 3D audio? I did not notice anything special in the presentation.

Anyway, the console looks great. Probably the best looking console I have ever seen. I care more about the internals, but it still looks great. The games looked good, but nothing that blew me away.

Goodbye Volcano High and Bugsnacks stole the show. LOL

A lot of these games are coming to PC too. Nice.

One thing i noticed, it seems to still have screen space reflections and no ray tracing.

I just hope there's a 60fps mode for pete sake.

Can't wait for the teardowns. I want a look at that cooling solution.
