I actually loved that show. They showed off the system, and I think it looks fantastic. They showed non-stop games, from many genres, with many big names. A lot of new stuff. I just plain had fun watching. Way better than I expected, lol
But either the ps5 price is that bad or they are waiting on ms to announce their pricing...or both?
Yeah I'm confused about the digital version. You would think it will be the cheaper version but that ssd size needs to be bigger. Its probably going to be more expensive. I'm a bit confused there.
Don’t you think the SSD size will be the same? Surely you must install the full games on the drive? None of that SSD magic will work if you run the game from a disc.
Yeah maybe I'm over thinking it. I figure they need to give you a bigger ssd so you don't have to redownload games. Having disc lets you quickly re install.
That’s a fair point. I just think they want to make the disc free version cheaper. They prefer if people get that, so they then must buy their games through the PS store.

Yup, too many positives to having discs:
- You can borrow games from your friends
- You can simply insert the disc and play, don't require internet to download games
- PS4 download rate is kinda crappy

This would be interesting especially with the price. The Series S is weaker than the X but I don't think the PS5 AD is weaker. So, price is the next factor.

Days Gone had these weekly 16GB patches, took forever to download on my PS4
Meanwhile on PC I can download a 50GB game in a matter of minutes.
And I recently bought TLOU2 and GOT on disc because it's cheaper and easier lol. Plus people can borrow those games from me, not so when I buy them digitally.
I'd give the show an 8/10 for me. The biggest game that has me excited from the show is Horizon 2 Forbidden West. I absolutely loved the first one. Aside from the middle of the show that just showed a bunch of indie titles I wasn't really interested in except for a few it was a pretty great show overall. I liked the presentation of the show mainly showcasing a CGI trailer; followed by some gameplay and it just transitioned very quickly just game after game. The design of the console looks sleek when it's standing vertically but not so sleek when it's on the side in my opinion.
Where was the 3D audio? I did not notice anything special in the presentation.
Yeah, that was a big whiff. Disappointing. They did like a one second demo of it in the middle. Not sure why the PS-blog said that. They fooled me good....

It was a decent showing in my opinion. They showed a variety of games. Nothing really "WOWed" too much though. We already expected Demon Souls also. Much better than Microsoft's showing though, thats for damn sure lol

That's probably based on the leaked Amazon UK price, which pegged it at £599, and it's based on a direct conversion based on market rate... That's not how it works, so don't worry too much. It could be pricey, but companies don't price dependant upon the market rates of currency and directly translate those prices elsewhere. I worked in finance for almost 11 years, and more specifically in the currency exchange market for around 6.
Sony nailed it, shame about the no price reveal, but i did not expect the design to be like that. I have to say the colour design makes it look very unique. I do hope its a flat console and not upwards. But either way, it made me jump off my chair when i saw it :D
Btw, what was with the "wear headphones" hype? I didn't get any binaural stereo, or 3d sound as Sony are calling it at all, apart from the animations between the clips?
Expected this since PS4 was the same at the beginning of last gen. Sony takes least 4 to 5 years before the ship the big games to customers. The resolution did not help either every game look dull due to the bitrate on Youtube.

Is it some extraordinary thing to have recently bought a physical disc or something? I literally just got one in the mail the other day.
Opening with the Rockstar logo almost dropped me. Look, GTA V is one of my favorite games of all time... but it is time for it to die. It's going to appear on every platform from here on.
It was ok, but that was the disappointing part since I always expect some pleasant surprise, As for the design of the console, I'm not thrilled about it and i think it looks way better horizontal and I still don't like the controller.
