Pretty safe to say PS3 won 2008

PS3 won 2008 in terms of quality games. I believe xbox 360 and wii will sell more software. Wii will sell the most hardware world wide and IMO it looks like the ps3 will win world wide over the xbox 360 in hardware. Note I said world wide.

AAAA MGS4

AAA LBP

AAA Resistance 2

AA Vlakyria chronicles (looking like it AVG is 8.7 right now on meta critics)

AA Motorstorm

AA Naruto ultimate ninja storm (maybe)

AA MLB the show

Xbox 360

AAA Gears of War 2

AA Viva Pinata

AA Banjo (Maybe)

AA Ninja Gaiden 2

Not to troll, but the 360 games just those will probably be all of the sales of the ps3 games combined this whole year. Gears 2 will surpass Fable 2's 1 million opening week.

But anyways, the ps3 has had an awesome year. sony isn't too hot, but the ps3 is hot in 08. I haven't played it in a while, so when I get R2 and LBp, I can't wait.

360 to me has had a better year, but then again thats just me, an rpg finatic.

Well... the year is coming to a close. There's not much left to anticipate for the rest of this year. Most of the games to hype have been released and it's safe to say that this year goes to the PS3. Their online improved incredibly, they have trophies, took home a bunch of amazing exclusive title. 2008 was the year of PS3, and I feel very happy about this.

The Xbox 360 put up a great fight. A lot of heavy hitters were released this year. Second easily goes to the 360.

Last, and def. least, the Wii.............................................. I'm disappointed in you.

what do you mean "won 2008"? You mean sales? better games? number of games? number of AAAE''? It's really all opinion, I personally like ps3's lineup this year better, that's only because this years ps3 games appeal to me more than 360s, but it easily goes the other way, which is why this arguement is pretty situational.

That would be bad news actually seeing as sony LOSES money on every ps3 sale. Sony is barley hanging on now, they lost their ps2 money, their Tv's are over priced compared to samsung, and vizio's, and nobody buys walkmans anymore.

For every first party game that Sony publishes, they have sell like 200.000 copies of them to match a mediocre performance game by nintendo. Also By population, most sells for all games overall, most system sells, Nintendo. Now if u mean which games had the best quality, PS3 but to say that the PS3 won the whole thing?..... Ehhhh WRONG!!!! Last definately goes to the 360 no question about it.The system jut died after about a couple of months after it was announced. The PS3 and the Wii are the consoles that have to go up against each other. The 360 is Microsoft's worst videogame system to date (out of the 2)

I don't know about that. 360 held its own throughout the entire year. The Wii just had an incredible first half of the year. No More Heroes, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, WiiWare etc... but it kind of just died early in the summer.

Ps3 undid xbox 360 23,000 ggap gain in one week in japan. IT is ahead the xbox 360 by 160k so far in the us and is ahead of the xbox 360 in europe by over 200k.... In hardware sales so far the ps3 is winning in sales world wide... Software I can't say the same...
