Proof Gaming on Xbox = Lazy

I never post in System Wars but I had to post this gem.

This is just proof that gaming on an Xbox is pure laziness.

Xbox does everything it can to try to recreate a PC gaming experience. It fails horribly in the control, graphics, online, moddability, and everything else...departments.

The only argument Xbox users have had against PC gaming is that it costs so much to play games on a PC that it's not worth the superior performance/fun that a PC brings.

Well now it's official...a $500 gaming PC can run Crysis at nearly 40fps at High detail before overclocking.

So why are you still putting up with your crap box and why aren't you building a PC? Laziness...that's your only excuse. Either that or you're not a gamer.

PC are personal to the individual, consoles are more accessible to everyon. You cant have 4 freinds come over, drink some beers and play some games together like you can with consoles

all of my friends play on consoles, and i happen to not really enjoy PC gaming. i work all day on a computer, and i really don't care to come home to game on one.

if this is your first time, I suggest that you turn around...open the door and leave, theres a reason that console gaming is a hit, and you couldnt put together a credable argument againest such a comercial success to save your life....I doubt any of us can

Hmm...I play guitar hero with friends gathered around my computer while drinking beers.

There's no real point in playing people locally because there isn't enough competition. It's way more fun to work with your friends against 30 other people in a game of TF2.

That's because S-video is limited to 1024x768...but I'm sure you knew that that's only one way you can hook up your PC to a TV...

I can't do split screen on my PC. I have a really good PC, but I game more on my 360, because all my other friends have 360s and setting up everything is easier. Everything you need to do anything is on the 360, wherears on the PC you have to download Xfire/Steam etc.

That's because S-video is limited to 1024x768...but I'm sure you knew that that's only one way you can hook up your PC to a TV...

TV's max out 1080p................ which is still a terrible resolution for any sort of computer. And besides, there are some games you can't find on the PC that are on the 360. Also, I do own a PC for gaming, and play on it often.luigigreen

yep...sony wouldn't have given its customers a thing, just like the DRE on the PS2s a few years back. see what i did there? oh, and for the record, my XBL worked flawlessly over Xmas.

Of course, but I've played both and the amount of lag in those games is quite apparent. If MS had actually used your money to put up some dedicated servers, then it would be worth it. All you're paying for is using someone else's bandwidth. :roll:

So whilst you're setting up your 'superior' serivce, we get to play with our friends, nice and easily. Anyway, I have Xfire and Steam and, whilst they're great, hardly any of my friends use it, for some reason or other. But yeah, I suppose slightly better service is infinitely better than ease of use.

I've rarely had lag, nor have many of my friends, sure there have been a couple of bad days but mostly it's been fine.

I can cope with $5 a week, really easily. And because my friends actually use Xbox Live, I don't feel like a complete loner sitting in front of a monitor. Definitely worth it.

I have a pretty damn good PC and I'm building an even better one this weekend and I still have no problem gaming on the 360 or PS3..Being Elitest PC snob doesn't help your case at all.

So you can build a 500 dollar PC that can run Crysis. I already have a PC that can run it, So what? Console gaming isn't perfect, but neither is PC gaming. At this point it's just a matter of preference with the edge slightly going to the PC. Here's the thing, the stuff most hermits brag about (mods, better graphical fidelty) don't hold much weight for some people, they just want to put in a disk and play. It doesn't matter what your perception of the simplicity of PC gaming is, they just don't want to be bothered with it. They should be entitled to that without being insulted.
