Don't pay for live. I buy pretty much all hardware on sale (the Wii being the only system I've ever had during its full price range) and I truly find those that paid 600 bucks for a PS3 dedicated to fork out over half a grand for games. I also laugh, Sony bias, by the end of the year, I will be a PS3 owner in addition to my Wii. I still don't see why anyone wants to pay stupidly high prices for memory cards. This is no different than people not wanting to pay full price for the Wifi adapter on the 360 or buying all those extra motion plus attachments for something nintendo could have included from the beginning. People don't like getting ripped off. ESPECIALLY SMART PEOPLE ON VIDEO GAME BOARDS WHO KNOW WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON. Why you feel that Nintendo, bias or Sony or MS bias has anything to do with not wanting to get RIPPED off I'll never know.

The memory cards are pricey to say the least lol gotta agree. What can you do at least you get an HD Unchated game for 40 bills as well as many other games you would be paying $60 for. You win some you lose some. damn thats a lot for memory cards though lol.

Can the rare game be found in that form form for lower than $80+? Because I can find 5 different storage mediums from HDD, to usb, to SD that will give me 8 gigs or more for less than $65. Also the argument was getting ripped off. It wasn't wasting money. If someone collects games, then the price that they pay to justify said game is there alone. Here though, there are directly comparable similarities in products that are SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper. That's where the issue stems from.

Well, I guess I'm going to settle for the 4gb model or whatever comes with the system, if one even does, until a better option arises.

Technology wise the Wii was overpriced sure I think everyone agrees with that. I don't think anyone would say that the ability to boot up games being denied vecause you refuse to buy a stupidly expensive memory card is somehow equivalent with the over pricing of consoles let alone accessories, games and other electornics in general. The other difference is that you could not buy a similar device that would perform the same function as the Wii (ie play Wii games) for a cheaper price. Literally the only thing Sony has done here is make their own format based off of already existing technology they easily could have adapted so they could take advantage of the fact that they are requiring a memory card to boot some of their games. Its just such a slimy underhanded move because if you want a Vita you have to bite or wait. Different situations but yes, sometimes you have to bite the bullet. That said I'm not gonna bust all my teeth on the bullet in every case.

How can anybody defend the fact that some games you need a memory card to boot up game. And $15 for a USB cord? Odd we can't use the USB cord we have now.
