All i have to say is good job to both Sony And MS for making the competition hard, it will only benefit us consumers.

If I didn't already own both a ps3 and 360 (slim versions) and I was looking to buy one of the consoles I would pick the ps3 hands down. I love my 360 but lets be honest here, its lacking exclusives BIG TIME and MS just relies on mulitplats to sell their system. MS is still living in 2008 and trying to get Nintendo's casual crowd with all this kinect junk. What they need to do is focus on getting more gaming studios under their belt and bring new exclusive IP's to the xbox. The ps3's online service psn may not be on par with xbox live but it still has something to love, like the fact that its free and Sony has pretty well rounded line up of exclusive games. With the price cut of the ps3 at 250 I would highly recomended it to anyone who as an interest in any of the ps3 exclusives or at the very least a blu ray movie player lol.

Actually the ps3 lost the battle this gen; Nintendo and MS made out like bandits taking market share from Sony. Sony lost all the profits they made from ps2 bc of the ps3 back in 08. They are not going to make all that money back, ps3 will not have the success ps2 had.

I love it :D The reason why the 360 is selling is because they have console bundles for every release or people had to buy new ones thanks to the RROD.

Yeah, I'm sure MS cares, they made more than enough profits from the 360 and it's taken 5 years for the PS3 to get close to what the 360 sold. Even though they had the best and most selling console last gen. PS3 FTL.

2.8 million is a big gap still and with the next gen right around the corner it doesn't matter anymore.

I'm sorry, what? Sony has lost all the profits that they made off of both the PS1 & the PS2 thanks to the PS3, & have lost about $5+ Billion thanks to the PS3 itself. Plus Microsoft isn't exactly over 6 billion in debt from their gaming division anymore.

It's pretty simple to have high sales for a product if it's the only thing on the market for the consumer to chose from. That's not an accomplishment, that's rather pathetic.

Love or hate PS3's catelog of games, at leastSony puts out a wide variety of high quality games thru out theentire year; instead of tryingto release only 1 or 2quality games during holiday season to ensure sales when the year is almost over.

This has been MS strategy almost the entire gen; PS3 games sale, it just has more to offergamers for exclusives and has awider demographic of people so everyone burdened to buy the same game.

Even if the ps3 sells more than the 360 this gen that does not mean they profited more. MS could careless if ps3 eventually passes them bc by that time the next gen will be starting.
