PS3 suffers RPG MELTDOWN. 360 achieves RPG GREATNESS.

Quality is better than quantity. Both is better than just one OR the other. And compared to the PS3, that is exactly what the 360 has. I can't really counter you on the basis of GS scores, but AAA pissing wars aside, I have been more than content with what I've gotten RPG-wise out of the 360, and been equally underwhelmed with what the PS3 has offered.

Would I like more and better for ALL the systems, 360 included? No doubt. But the issue isn't whether the 360 owner is so rich (in RPGs) that he's figuratively using 20's as toilet paper and 100's to light his cigars. The question is which console is the RPG "king" this gen, and TBH there really IS no question.

All these people bringing up FFXIII to defend the PS3... I find this disturbing on 2 counts. One, you haven't played the damn thing, so your opinions are even less meaningful than usual here in System Wars. Second, even if it's awesome, basing your arguments on a game released so late in the game (2009? 10?) doesn't undermine the TCs point, it PROVES it you silly little ponces! A game released within an eyeblink of the next gen hardly removes the jolly stomping that RPG-hungry PS3 owners have been receiving this whole gen...and seemingly will continue to receive for another year, two years, whatever.

We all know the 360 has more rgp's then the ps3, but what people forget is how many of those rpg's are even any good? Yes u may say there all good but alot of lemmings seem to dismiss ps3 games even if they are AA titles, so if we go by those rules how many of these rpg's are AAA? The ps3 is sure lacking rpg's but that doesnt mean there arent going to be any, lets wait and see how well they turn out when Disgaea 3, White Knight Chronicles, Finaly Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy 13 Versus, Valkyria Chronicles, and Tears to Tiara. The ps3 has some great rpg's coming and I can almost expect every one of these to be very good.

You have the option to fight the troll, flee o manouvere the troll towards a chasm and push him down

2007: PS2 released Odin Sphere, Rogue Galaxy & Persona 3

2008: PS2 released Persona 3 FES/ Persona 4 is announced for the PS2

PS3/360 are a joke when it comes to RPGs, those few I mentioned are great RPGs and IMO quality>quantity

As of right now, 360 is definitely winning. LO and BD weren't really received too well, but Eternal Sonata is possibly the only JRPG to brag about at the moment. Folklore is more like a Love it/Hate It game. Isn't Eternal Sonata coming out on PS3 though?

Now let's look at Upcoming JRPG titles

360: Infinite Undiscovery (I'm not trying to be fanboyish here, but I really don't know what else is coming. Feel free to let me know whats up)

PS3: FFXIII, FFvXIII, White Knight, Star Ocean 4. Disgaea 3 (although it looks like a freaking PS2 game).

Unless all these games end up sucking really hard, It looks like sony has it in the bag.

The real honest truth here is the 360 is the current RPG KING. And there is no reason to say otherwise. Sure PS3 will have some RPG's. And yes most will opt out to use old faithful FF13 in 2014 or whenever it comes out 09/10 i guess at the earliest.

But clearly the 360 has been the leader in RPG's this gen. And seems to be ready to defend that crown for several more years to come.

Hardly, it's a great game. It just sold horribly. There aren't any RPG fans on the 360; even what is really a 3rd person shooter with RPG elements didn't sell well.

Which means RPGs x 99999 to 360 = $9999999999 of wasted money.
