I have no doubt the PS3 will likely overtake 360. Will it have any meaningful impact beyond System Wars? Not at all.

i remember when this use to matter...i really could care less on what rank sony is in ..so far sony has kept me happy...they haven't charged me for online and if they ever did they wouldn't raise the price and give me some bs excuse...they dont waste 50 million on dlc or 500 million on advertising an eye toy...they have actually used there money on games and a varierty of other things ..yeah the beginning was a little weird but the past is the past and sony has actually learned from their mistakes sireclaborn

The PS3 has a realistic chance of passing the 360 late 2011 mainly due to the fact that the PS3 has 12 big exclusive games coming out and the 360 only has Gears 3 next Sept 2011.

The PS3 has a realistic chance of passing the 360 late 2011 mainly due to the fact that the PS3 has 12 big exclusive games coming out and the 360 only has Gears 3 next Sept 2011.

Riiiiight. because nobody ever used their warranty to repair their 360's. Nope, not even one single owner out there. Why would they use a free repair service when spending the money on a new console is what everybody else was doing? They wouldn't want to seem "uncool" among their peers by being the only loser to use that warranty, right?

shave 50% or so of the 41 million off of sony's first 2 years and the ps3 is WAY behind.....just sayin'

I wish that Sony would drop each model $50 less ie 160gb & 320gb $299 to $249, PS Move 320gb Sports Champion bundle $399 to $349 etc. This would speed things up.

Just so you know, when the 360 slim has a red dot in the middle, it's not broken but it's getting hot inside of the case. Then the console automatically switches down so it won't break. This is fact. Shame they didn't fix the disc tray scratching though, and Iv'e seen cases where the power brick fails. Still id not that great of build quality but a heck of alot better than the original.

I would agree that a number of people rebought them, but you think it would affect the attachment rate more if it was really that prevalant. Also, I can guarantee a number of people have re-bought PS3's. I fix them up all the time from people who bought slims when they got Ylod.

when I told you that the 360's problems were fixed with the slimm you posted a a picture of a broken 360 slim, I assume you mean either of the following:

A) The Xbox 360 is the only electronic device in the world that breaks

B) That the xbox 360 problems have not been fixed and indeed are still on the fabled 33% despite the slim line

so.. I need a link to confirm either of these

As I've said many times, by then it won't matter. Hell, if the PS3 overtook the 360 TODAY, it wouldn't matter one goddamn bit.

The damage is done. They have actually won already.All they needed to do is get established in the household.The Xbox is just as recognizable a brand name in video games worldwide as is Sony or Nintendo.
