[QUOTE="myke2010"]Right around the corner? Your in for a big disappointment. Next gen consoles are 4-5 years away. A console that had a year late start and a 600 dollar price tag is only a few million behind the 360. Looking pretty sad for MS, actually:DConsidering that the next gen systems are most likely right around the corner, big deal. If the best Sony can do this gen is catch up to the next to last place console, that's just sad. What would be hilarious though would be if Nintendo released whatever next gen system that will replace the Wii and it also passes the PS3 in sales before the PS3 can catch up to the 360.

Maybe, maybe not. Wii sales are beginning to plateau and a next gen Wii probably wouldn't cost Nintendo all that much to develop if they carry on this gen's philosophy regarding lower end hardware to maintain their profit margins. A 2012 release for a new Nintendo console wouldn't surprise me in the least.
In regards to sad for MS, I'm fairly certain MS doesn't think doubling their marketshare while making a decent profit is sad in the least.
